Nokia E7 might be delayed until January 2011, costs 700 euro?

The pre-release retail price is almost Always higher than the actual price when the item arrives in stock. I've seen it happen numerous times, and is probably mostly because of the fluctuation of the market (so they set a heftier price for pre-orders to safe haven themselves from doing a loss-affair).
As long as they have not had it in stock earlier, don't drape yourself in the guideline price tag.

I was debating between the N8 and E7. Then I looked at both phones, what the package contains and at the history Nokia has with communicator type phones. The communicator type phones were always more expensive than anything else and this time Nokia kind of missed it. It will not be 700 euros but more expensive than the N8. Moreover, no expansion slot? What were they thinking?

and folks, heres nokia's biggest problem. Delays and Price. There is absolutely no reason why this phone should cost so much. 700 euro probably is around $900-$1000 for a limited phone with a qwerty. There are better phones out for muuuch cheaper. I REALLY like nokia but they must fix that.

Looks like there going to launch it at the same time fixed the major bugs of Symbian^3.. E Series are for business use and if E7 fails to satisfy the business user's then its a major lose to Nokia inspite the reputation of E series..

What did you expect the price to be? N8 was 370 before taxes and everything and now its 500, so taxes 130 €... Since E7 is 500 € before taxes, taxes should be a little more then N8, so about 150-160€... And it comes to 660€, which isn't much cheaper then 700€...
What i can't understand is why is it so much more expensive then N8? It has bigger screen and qwerty, but then, N8 has better camera and a memory card slot... And with the E7 you dont get micro-to-normal USB cable (for USB OTG) and no micro-to-normal HDMI adapter... Other things are very similar... IMO N8 is better, and don't really understand so big price difference...

ALTEK LEO... moreOk, you right that it's overpriced. But calling the Altek Leo a better phone, come on. It might take better pictures but it's just made for a completely diffirent purpose. (3.2" vs 4", awesome camera vs plain snapshot camera, hardware keyboard)
I'm not going to buy a Ferrari, and then complain that it doesn't work well on my off-road track, so it must be a bad car... be rational

I could not live without this functionality.
IMO, Nokia still makes lovely phones. I'm absolutely in love with the N8 and the E7 (C6 or C7, no thank you though) BUT they're just too expensive. Comparing the devices to other phones. The N8 should absolutely not be more than 400 euro's, just like the E7 should be...
