I work for one of the big three as a customer support in Canada, and I can tell you right now customers always complain about Samsung devices. There is no denying this it's the truth complaint ratios are 99 android or mostly Samsung phones to like one iPhone. And I am so confident that you can ask any customer support agent from any provider in any countrythat they will tell you they have far more complaints on Samsung phones over Apple devices .

Samsung, take this as lesson. u should release note 6 before u release note 7.

and then they said galaxy note 7 is the best phone out there :)), yup , it is the best in exploding and being discontinued quickly :))

Anonymous, 11 Oct 2016Its too bad that i have to now return my note 7 but still i... moredon't bother with all that here..most people here won't understand what usin a note is like...i have used notes that my friends have and my dad has a note 5..they are a class apart..and afaik..this is the first time samsung note series are going bad..in the end 2 things remain..those who have used a note stylus will never be happy with any other..not apple pencil or surface pen or otherss..and samsung is doing its best to deal with a bad situation as much as possible..

AnonD-405901, 11 Oct 2016Sony is goodSony is a LOT better than Shamesung. If not even now when they recalled ALL the notes you can't believe your precious brand is crap and they are just cheap phones with iCrap prices, it means you really are one brainwashed sheep and there's no hope left for you..
I have a 3 yo Sony and not a scratch on it and I never used a case. Meanwhile, my friend's S6 with case is full of cracks, broken display and 2 times took to the service center for USB port replacement.
Ok, I could get over the display and USB issues, though the price is soooo high, but having a melting grenade in your pocket or at your ear is like playing the Russian roulette except you know the end result. And to think there were morons taking it in a plane! Would you like to be a plane crash victim just because one idiot decided to take the Nuclear 7 with him??
                      Wake up you sheep!
Gezzz, I'd rather get an iPhone and I HATE iOS!
By the way, it's all over the news so you know that NOBODY will buy their phones anymore.
                      R.I.P. Shamesung!

Anonym, 11 Oct 2016This the right decision after so many severe mishaps, albei... moreYes its true, any manufacturer could have such a issue. But honestly trough Samsung is not a perfect example as to how this things should've handled.
First they denied, after some more cases they've gone into silence...and actually they do NOTHING until customer protection body's come into play.
Sure the media reaction could've been less sensationalistic and more professional, but thats a whole different question.

Now since they have discontinued Note 7, it would be interesting to know what are they gonna do with all the Note 7 components. They may use some components in their 2017's mid range phones to reduce the loss, in that case we may get Galaxy A9 Pro (2017) with Note 7 like specs.

[deleted post]Myself personally I don't like LG or Apple, Sony Ericsson was the best by far in its day. For me I will either wait for Samsung S8 or Note8, For me and I have had every other brand and always regretted going away from Sammy.

it's about what you like and want,I want a powerful phone and prefer the S-Pen. I might even go for an Edge 8. Until someone brings a phone that looks good with a good screen and power with a Pen facility I'm afraid Samsung has its niche in the market.

Samsung is now gonna loose many of its loyal customers. Maybe this is the beginning of the end era of Samsung as king of smartphones. Remember, Nokia is gonna enter the smartphone league coming this fall. You never know Nokia would come back and take all of its loyal customers back. Maybe not in the starting, but I do see that once Nokia enters, and if Samsung keeps producing these kinda batteries, it may loose its customers to Nokia/any other company.
