Anonymous, 02 Nov 2016and what about the storage? do sony really use a fast stora... moredon't know really ..it's supposedly replaced with faster storage this time around for the X compact and XZ ...but there isn't any official info to confirm it ..just like they screwed with type of glass they use .. it's GG4 on the newest X series phones and GG3 on older but you can't find any official info from SONY on this , all they say in white paper that is some type of gorilla glass LOL ... I agree the way they promote their phones and market them it's a big mess .

Explications? Boring design, mediocre performance, overpriced devices, way to many bugs, terrible customer service and no after warranty service (talking about USA), bad update program, serious new competition (Alcatel, ZTE, ASUS, 1+3, etc), etc...

Sony needs to advertise more and make their mid and lower range about 10 to 20% cheaper. I have literally nit seen Sony commercial in over 2 years here in northern europe (exept for playstation 4). So way more advertising and cheaper prices = more shipments = more profit.

SONY own team that promoted XZ in Taiwan said it's metal all around and I don''t believe even them , there is no any official reliable info yet to confirm this. So I will wait for teardown/disassembly to see what is material that frame is made off , plastic one would be perfect IMO but with aluminium bars on top like the Z5 . feels premium while its lightly and durable (complete aluminium frame is prone to bending) .

Questionable feature removal from a lot of their lineup compared to their previous generations, lack of marketing, and noncompetitive pricing. It's easy to see why their sales are dropping. I seriously thought Sony must have wanted to shoot themselves in the foot when they thought removing water proofing and 4K recording from most of their mid-range~high-end phones was a good idea. That's precisely why I passed up the X Compact. The fact they managed to turn a small profit though is nothing short of a miracle.

Stupid 1080p screen for flagship
Even no fingerprint for new flagships ! !!!
Less ram. bad cameras (why Sony why! YOU make the best sensors for nikon, Samsung ... but you use the worst algorithm photo processing for yourself!!!)

1) Overpriced!
2) Slow Update! (Look at those rivals out there which provide the latest security patches for their pricey flagships - Big Ell NO to those Chinese Phones).
3) Lack of innovation for their current flagships.
4) Lens were far than good enough but still generated some dull photos!

Sony's midrange phones are under performing because they are overpriced, it's that simple.
I would like to buy an Xperia X as a good midranger, but I refuse to be ripped off by greedy Sony.
Get the pricing right Sony, and you'll have more fans and more money !

Anonymous, 02 Nov 2016bad after sale service in Indonesia. sony please fix this.... moreYes, I heard sony has bad after sales service in Indonesia, in contrary Samsung offer the best after sales service here, my new brand samsung tablet only got one week service after I bought it 2months ago and I need to bring it again for the same problem, and it was not my first experience dealing with this.. almost all my samsung devices at least once must go to samsung service center after usage less than one year or 6months!! while, I never bring my Sony devices to their service center!! which one do you prefer? good after sales service but there's high chance that you need to bring it to repair.. or bad after sales service but smaller chance to bring it to service center?

The loop design is quite slippery, but the ploy-carbonate adds grip to it.

And about the plastic/metal frame, they dont even mention it in their commercial what is it actually made of.
sony have made 2 fatal mistakes.

only those who give "best products + best services" st... moreI can't find any info on the materials that are used for XZ frame . some said that is metal and some say that is poly-carbonate ...having polycarbonate frame and antenna window at the same time makes zero sense to me .
1080p LCD panel is like having QHD AMOLED in terms of sharpness , quantum dot LCD is superb , screen resolution of 1080p is the one of the main reasons why I buy SONY phones. I don't need FAKE QHD because I would never sacrifice performance for something so gimmicky .
