guy mcdade, 24 Dec 2010i heard tht some people had put windows on this phone. the ... moreN900 is very different to the N97. As a start, it have Linux as OS, not Symbian, and good part of the cost is good hardware (32gb of internal memory, 5mp camera with Zeiss lens, big resolution screen. Anyway, maybe would be more fair to compare it with mobile computers/tablets than with phones.

ok now can somebody get Meego with the Moblin UI to run on the HD2? I'd be very greatful. Thanks. Also, Meego is going to revolutionize when it comes out next year. I'd get that on my n900 instead.

i do think tht google hav made a great operating system for there fone but i hav been told tht there software for fones is more like spyware and now tht google are bringing out an operating system for laptops and pcs i feel tht this will be a great spyware tool. microsoft pc and laptops are probably the same full of spyware but they dont tell you this lol. back to nokia now i wouldnt bother myself with the n8 so wot if they have a 12 mega pixel camera a crappy wot was it a 800mhz processor and a amoled screen theres plenty of decent phones out there with better tech than nokias latest. nokia is old news lets get rid of them and there crap tech lol

i heard tht some people had put windows on this phone. the phone is crap and nokia has ruined my thoughts on there products i bought a nokia n97 for £250 a year ago but i feel sorry for the people who bought the phone for £500 and something only to find that the software on it was all trial versions and a unstable os the build of the fone was terrible and the connection port was bad this is a problem i have seen with a few manufactures that if u accident break the connection port then u need to buy a new motherboard for the phone witch means a new phone why should people spend good money then tht happens only to find tht they end up paying for a new fone where as there old nokia fone like the n95 you could tak it to a shop and get the connection port fixed they solder the connection port to the motherboard so it can not b fixed this is a bad on alot of manufactures from HTC, samsung and probably many more. i have gone off nokia for life.

resistive isn't a problem for some who used to it like on Android phones.

time by time I get impressed with N900, it can hold 3 DIFFERENT OSes!!!
                              Maemo, MeeGo and now Android

I really wish for a capacitive N900, but again there are Androids with resistive screens out there.

And if you don't like Android you can update to MeeGo soon. (Even now but it is not recommemded because the version is the trial and not fully stabile). But you can find it in the net.

naimu, 24 Dec 2010if n900 can hold android...will it able installed in c7 or n8 ???I doubt that, as Symbian is not an unix based OS...
The N900 uses Maemo, which IS based on unix.
So, no... Android will most probably never be ported to a Symbian phone.

But it did have beautiful screen and UI was good looking! But I make more calls and browse lots of pics so I sold it, and Now I'm very happy with C7.
