i think most iphone and android phones fanboys deep down their hearts just love nokia. I'am sure most of them wil turn their back on android or ios if meego proves to be good. Just look at the intrest they have on nokia topics.

just get an HP envy and
strip window7 install ubuntu 10.10 and by then 11 should be out and VM windows 7 ultimate
for a low price of 800 bucks and still get a really nice aluminium body laptop
i did that with my HP G62t
and it runs so smooth

There is a reason why people are hatin on the N8, hence why I'm gonna buy it (then get me a MeeGo powered Nokia or MacBook Pro on August fer my 21th birthday).
I've used Android and found the 1.6-running X10i te be the most intuitive, but still, the degree of control it offered doesnt serve me well. So itz back te my N73 til I get my sh*t together and buy me the N8

If you guys are comparing Galaxy S and N8, their is only 1 think I can say. N8 is facing motherboard (MB) problem - Manufacture Fault. Been sending N8 for 8 times to service centre finally problem solve by changing MB, but again now is service centre.
For Galaxy user please upgrade to 2.2 then most of the problem like battery & etc is solve.

body- n8 anodized aluminium, sgs cheap plastic
camera flash - n8 xenon flash, sgs no flash
and their is many more n8 is better than you sgs.

but the screen is nice but it lags with something tasks
not sure why but i think cause he ROMed it

[deleted post]My N8 battery performance is far better than SGS that my friend has (I get 5-6 hours more).
30FPS is a number for dumb people; Hollywood uses 25FPS for HD movies because it gives the best performance.
And dimensions and weight of N8 are higher due too huge camera module.

I can count 'a lot' of features found on N8 which lacks on iphones and androids, but why bother as YOU KNOW IT.
pity how apple controlling its users to the point where they removed "Wikileaks" and "adult" apps, nice restrictions there for the fools like you.
oh what about the fragmented android!!! it doesn't handle resources correctly like the battery drains in a day under extensive usage with all its bugs and the "oops! my SMS went to the wrong guy :o" fiasco.

[deleted post]From the last figures I saw, Symbian still leads both Android and iOS by a good margin... Maybe this is little hard for Apple and Google fanboys to take in.. They thought their OSes are leading when in fact they aren't..

Nokia N8 sales nearing 4 million units.
According to a Finland research company.
It must be biased or some kind of make up as no official confirmation.
As a matter of fact , I still remember that Nokia closed it’s flagship store on London’s Regent street after suffering slow sales.Even in EUROPE , NOKIA is losing ground.
Apple is opening new retail flagship store more and more.
NOKIA is opposite.
So to all NOKIA fan boys, I am still waiting......

its not a surprise, really, b'coz after the n95, n8's the true leader of the superb nseries....
and, after using this cell for a month, i've understood, what the hype ws all abt.....
i've always been and will be a nokia fan...
