I've had it for two months now. It completely replaced my digital camera. The phone has a lot to offer, and it has been rock solid. I know it is hard to believe, but Nokia actually did a good job :)

Phone companies wouldn't survive without all these so called "upgrades", and the almighty brand is probably one of the worst in terms of offering "upgrades", as it releases nearly 100 so called "new" phones every year.

For users of 1100, they would be happy with a phone that simply dials out and make calls/SMS, so why offer "upgrade" versions for them to "upgrade"?

Here's my 2 cents. The N8 is for people who want to have the best cameraphone with them 24/7, and for people who are used to the symbian world and like what it offers (folders, multitasking, etc.).

I can't help but smile everytime me and my friends take pictures/videos of events with our phones (whether iphone 4, galaxy S, or even blackberry phones) and post them on facebook, I always end up having the nicest photos/videos!

If apple lost thier restrictions on thier phone (bluetooth, filesharing, video calls)and added some features, then they would be the best,no doubt in my mind. But please... i take a picture of my mates little boy and i cant bluetooth the picture to him because he has an iphone? I mean c'mon. Its such a basic feature. Regardless of brand,ANYTHING with limitations like that will never be number one in my book.

Like i said, having owned a 3GS,and i currently own both the N8 and the iphone,i would never go back to apple. Im not going to re-do my post about what the N8 can do over the iphone (its a page or so back in this forum if you are interested)but out of box the N8 can do boatloads more then a iphone. Iphone without apps is a basic phone, pure and simple..its the app store that makes the phone. Ovi store is basic, and im happy to admit it..im in no way bias...but the N8 doesnt need apps to make it shine. What it can do out of box leaves alot of the competition in its dust.

I know everybody wants money but at least Nokia makes phones for everyone and their software gives the freedom to do anything, Ex (share a song via bluetooth, connect your phone to the pc with an standard usb cable, etc....), it is true that the iphone is easier to use for girls and thats ok I would mind buying an iphone for my wife, but open your eyes guys dont let companies like apple to monopolise the industry.

You can't compare iphone sales to the n8's nokia has over 12 new models at any particular time of the year so if the n8 was not a seller it's because it's an option unlike the iphone which has 3 phones one of them isn't a phone at all and the other has a bad signal problem which is to say it's not a phone and sure isn't smart since it only connects it self and has no idea about what smart phones users use...

levi231, 31 Dec 2010bro i know you're new at cellphones do you how to find out ... moreLikely I have been using phones longer than you...but I admit I'm not a very SMART person, so I think a phone should be SMART to be intuitive and easy to use and do the job for ME, instead of having me to figure out everything.

I used 2 Symbian phones before, the last one rebooted itself so often, despite the fact I didn't install one single program in it, that it didn't even work as a phone. Sad to speak because I really like the styling and would of keep it if it wasn't running on Symbian.
