Anonymous, 02 Jan 2017E5 at $100 and xa at $200 in my country. a $200 sony phone ... moreBut the problem is people easily assume that low specs would mean a bad performance. Not everybody is aware that Sony makes the fastest phone in the world, set aside iPhones. The XZ, despite the skinned UI, is still faster than the Pixel XL which runs native pure Android. Taking note that the Pixel XL has 821, pretty much faster than the 820 used in the XZ, but the mere fact that the fight was close, and the XZ even wins in a lot of category means software truly played a huge part of it. Only thing needs to be fixed is RAM Management, yes, 4GB of RAM will fix that. But with all that, the performance is a good reason for Sony to price phones accordingly. I never imagined the Helio P10 to be so smooth as the one on the XA and XA Ultra, since every Helio P10-powered phones I have used are all sluggish at performance

Sony is never overpriced. Don't speak about price.

AnonD-101083, 02 Jan 2017Regardless of what processor sony uses, their phones are bu... moreYeah their software optimization is amazing, even considered as the most stable and smoothest OS in Android platform. I can only imagine more if some bloatwares would be removed, that would be hell out of a silky smooth navigation. Regardless, benchmarks just measure gaming capabilities of a phone. SnapDragon 820 is plenty powerful enough to give high scores to mid range phones, which is what the successor of Xperia X will likely to have

AnonD-391800, 02 Jan 2017I doubt anything Xperia at CES will have sd820...its the So... moreI like the idea that their mid rangers are going to have the last year's flagship processor. But I'd be interested to see a successor of the X, maybe the X2, with a SnapDragon 660 because that processor, while being on the 6xx category, is way more powerful than the 821. As far as I know, 6xx series is the upgraded version of every flagship 8xx processor. Just like the 650 which is much faster than the 810 and 808

PLAYER SLAYER, 02 Jan 2017Sigh, just another overpriced Sony. Watch this thing be $60... moreGive those specsheet yet the phone still smashes any competitor that attempts to beat it. Put a 4K HDR display, 1TB RAM, NVMe storage, SnapDragon 835, and that phone will easily beat your so-called "best" phone lol

PLAYER SLAYER, 02 Jan 2017There's nothing 'bezel-less' about the CA Ultra. Sure, it's... moreOkay so why are people calling the Mi Mix a "bezel-less" phone if it still has large bottom bezel? So long as the bezels are kept minimal, it would easily be considered "bezel-less", so the C Ultra series are all bezel-less phones

AnonD-391800, 02 Jan 2017Ddont see any added value to 6 inch phones. Theyre just too... moreIn Asia, big screen is always preferable since many people are commuting using public transport, and that's how they enjoy their TV shows. There's a reason why Samsung's Note series took off, and the fact that even Apple was forced to do a plus sized phone.

AnonD-491921, 02 Jan 2017They'll launch that phone in 2017 because sony is always on... moreWell in terms of specs, yet their phones are just as powerful as today's standards, maybe even better because the XZ wrecked the Pixel XL for being the fastest Android phone (I know 3T is faster, yet the X Performance on Nougat easily keeps up with it, and Nougat update barely improved the already speedy performance of the 3T). If you mean 2 years behind competition, then it means Sony is making beast phones. Imagine an Xperia with SnapDragon 835, 4GB RAM, UFS 2.1 storage, that would totally kill the S8

AnonD-391800, 02 Jan 2017Ddont see any added value to 6 inch phones. Theyre just too... moreNexus 6 is the same size as most 5.5-inchers, no it's far from being a big phone. Never cared what people think about me, I buy a phone for myself, not for others or their opinions. :D Ridiculous to think about how it looks like. It's more comfortable for me to use, so I keep buying "big" phones. Typing on a 5.5" was harder than on the 6", so the solution for me is simple - buy 6" or bigger and it's good to use. Personal preference and comfort first.
