Samsung is samsung, they already learned from their mistakes. And also, if they made mistake from one product, doesn't mean, the rest of their products will be the same too. Although, it's hard to gain the trust of the people to buy their smartphones again, but rest assured they gonna "*work*" for that.

But i'm not here to brag about what i have...
Samsung is at fault here and is just doing damage control...Note7 was a flop cause of a design fault...I don't see why Samsung fans here try to justify it...that's total B.S.
Fortunately many Samsung die hard fans worship everything that Samsungs says...

so, samsung now blamed other parties for note7 fiasco? and then using excuse "in a rush to meet the demand"? well, who is rushing to meet the demand on this case? So far, all my samsung devices (phones and tablets) always had battery related problem in less than a year usage (6months to be exact)

[deleted post]I would refrain from you using generalisations like "All samsung products are substandard". Many of samsung products are top of the line (and I am not just talking about phones here). Tell me, how many Samsung products do you see people around you use? A lot no? If their products are substandard how is it that many still use their products.
I agree with you that it is Samsung's fault for the Note 7s failure, but how they dealt with it should be treated with respect. They weren't in any way making excuses. They took the hit. Of course this ensures that the next phone will be one hell of a phone because when they made a mistake of this scale, they will be wanting to prove their customers they learnt from their mistakes no? That alone is already sort of an insurance towards prospective customers that their phone will be great.

At least the positive effect is that next phones will be safer. Like when a plane crashes. It is sad, but the important is to learn from that. This is why we have now radars, FDRs and so much more.

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2017Hope V30 will still have removable battery...Let's hope so my friend, sealed battery's on all phones should be abolished, no one wants to keep buying new flagships every 18months, or paying £35 to £40 every month when your happy with the phone you got only to find out your built in battery is defective, shame on all company's who make these decisions just to save money but still charge everyone extortionate prices, so sad Realy!

Sounds like the phone is ok; just short circuiting in one battery & a bad weld on the other battery. So wouldn't it be economical to fix the battery instead of getting rid of millions of high end phones that have no design problems?

So all this Damage Control by Samsung...its their fault they're design faults with the Note 7 and S7.
All this Note7 fiasco cost them more than $3 billion...
Their Top management should be fired...

I'm confused. Really confused.
Successful company like Samsung, with multiple-point inspection process, can still have exploding battery that guaranteed to happen almost worldwide.
Yet, low quality chinese phones with minimum inspection process (if any), rarely have exploding battery (2-3 known cases, but not worldwide).
Am I missing something?

I am a note user for years and sadly i had to switch to s7 edge after note 5 for the meantime. Guess we have to wait for the next Note to arrive.
