Anonymous, 23 Jan 2017If battery is reason, why not change a safe battery and sel... moreTwo recalls are bad enough, that's why. With the reputation of Note7 in tatters, Samsung did the right thing by withdrawing it instead of salvaging any more money off it. It is standard ethics practice, as the cost of not withdrawing a flawed product are far greater than looking for short term profit.

So, in another words, since all batteries must "breath", cose of this problem was that battery was too large, or designers did not leave enough space aroun them.
If there would be more free space around battery, they would not get burned....but,than Samsung needs to blame somebody else (not imported that other company is their own)

A small comparision. Nokia's recalled 46million faulty batteries made by Japanese in 2007. It costed them 172million $. Note 7 recall affected just ovet 1million devices but costs 5.3 billion $ and can be even worse. Do the math. I never ran into a single water incident since my first phone in 2004. Even non-waterproof smartphone are well made enough so if you pull them out quickly and turn them off, nothing gonna happen.

AnonD-636959, 23 Jan 2017Finally....... Note7 can die in peacePieces. It blew up, remember?

The original crisis is hard to blame on anyone else but the second crisis with the replacements could have been prevented by doing the above mentioned tests. They don't have to test every battery but in batches, where the number of batteries per batch depends on what is best the balance.

[deleted post]Concluding from Note7 fiasco about Samsungs inferior care for quality control, is not trolling fella. Its just evidence based conclusion.

I just conclude from obvious, Quality insurance is not Samsungs priority.
And they should definitely not get such a big amount of fan credit for it.

Many of Any Galaxy S series users write about their bust batteries all over net.

The real reason is toxic Samsung culture, where no one can raise issues as management decided that Note7 will be launched before iPhone7.
                                  A:"Bateries don't fit into casing"
B:"Bring mi solutions, not problems" I can imagine desperate low level manager to order employees to ram batteries in the case clearly to small to fit them.
