AnonD-424566, 23 Jan 2017This is what you get on built in battery's, don't care what... moreWow another illogical removable battery fanatic. The note 7's battery was poorly manufactured, period. It had nothing to do with it being non user replaceable. Get over yourself.

This is what you get on built in battery's, don't care what or how good specs are on a phone, removable battery's are a must, note 7 would still be a no. 1 Flagship still today if it had this option, still they shove out over priced phones and cross there fingers it won't happen again, will they learn? Neh, won't be long and they be down this road again!

Stay safe people, stay away from Samsung....
They dont care about quality, only mass production, most aggresive marketing, and sales.

IronHeart8, 23 Jan 2017Doubt it each & every battery of each & every upcom... moreThey probably do random batch check. I dun think they are checking every single battery, as long as the design is the same there shouldn't be any problem. I doubt other manufacturers check every phones and batteries for detailed stuff too.

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2017i agree. in all companies, they only take few batteries for... moreThey test a few batteries out of every batch. It makes no sense to test every battery, as all batteries within a batch generally come with the same set of issues. This is Engineering 101 for those of you who are not engineers...

sr777, 23 Jan 2017Now the cause is identified, why don't they restart selling... moreBecause there are still some Note 7s that weren't returned. If those explode then Samsung will look bad again. Now if those explode they can say they are recalled.

                        Note7 can die in peace

Samsung should have had these quality checks long ago b4 the Note 7 fiasco...

Even the Galaxy S7 series has quality issues...ppl reporting water damage after immersing the phone in water for 2 mins...the phone dies...check YouTube...lots of ppl are crying...

& Samsung says"water resistance for upto 30 mins in 1,5m deep in water"...lies,lies and more lies.

They better make sure that their next flagships are gonna be safe. They're already charging a small fortune for them.

I personally find this very unlikely, same issue twice with different battery and yet they claim that different issue with the batteries just happened to lead to the same disaster! I don't believe in coincidence that much. I smell some deal there and probably that is what took that much time for Samsung to come "clean". At least the battery company owners sure made a good fortune out of this.

I am actually a Nokia fan and I am proud of their phone's quality, but N7's quality is also top notch and quite sturdy enough. Best of luck for Samsung's S8 and long live to my beloved brand (Nokia).!
