They have continuously let down european note fans, where the last note to be released was the note 4.

If samsung can produce new notes same as note 3 and note edge, then i can think to change my notes. Same note 3 build quality, same leather and removable battery. Otherwise my note 3 and note edge is the living gold.

Just do a Note 4 (2017). We just need an upgraded battery, processor, RAM and S Pen (also Nougat and SPay too). Keep everything else. Okay, maybe not the exact same design but all core components must be kept (that includes removable battery).

              This is just A-W-E-S-O-M-E!
For some reason, I'm more elated hearing this than the return of Nokia. The Note line is legendary and I have been one of it's firm believers ever since the original Note came in the autumn of 2011. Just add FM Radio, Infrared Blaster, removable battery, MicroSD slot and waterproofing to the Note8 and it'll be perfect.

Don't you guys think that this is the refresh or refurbished Note7? And they didn't throw all Note 7s to the dumpster?

I'm. Still on note 4 as we didn't get note 5 or 7 in uk
And I want note 8 but I feel the note 8 may not have 3.5mm jack.if the s8 pro has the 3.5mm jack then will that mean the note 8 will definitely have the jack .because I need the 3.5mm so I'm not sure to get s8 pro or note 8.yes I do use the spen daily but the 3.5 mm jack is more important to me

For Note 4 users Samsung's right that there are loyal users amongst them, and that's why they haven't bought the Note 5 untill now for the absence of Micro SD, IR Blaster and making the Battery sealed, so please do them a favor and bring back the IR blaster and make the battery removable if you care (Micro SD is a must since the Note 7 had it).

Imperator Neubaticus, 23 Jan 2017Those who were saying the note line is dead should be feeli... moreIt IS dead. New Notes are Galaxy S phones plus pen. It they would add pen support to the s plus model it would basically be a note , but noooo let's grab more money from fan boys. Better have them wait for 6 more months just to get pen support...

People happy with this are simply ignorant. It basically killed all chances to have pen support in early 2017 model (s plus).

                          Target group: loyal note users

Non users or anyone who still feel the need to insult Note7, please go away. Heaven gives you nothing for your bad comment.

For me Notes are always better than their S series phones. Samsung is really doing good thing in continuing the Notes even after Note7's debacle.

Finally some good news even though I am getting acquainted to iOS after note 7 fiasco and I still use one beast of android MATE 9 but still some where some how I am missing something that crazy utility of stylus oh GOD I am still in love with my note 5 even though never got my hands on note 7 cause before it's release in my home country it got discontinued (don't know what to say) but still I assure one thing after using note 3 4 and 5

Samsung galaxy note series is a life style it's not a device and who ever once gets used to it, then this machine grows on you and you get addicted to it nothing will satisfy you and I am still looking for better options even though I have the best of both worlds android and iOS.

I don't think Samsung created the phablet niche at all. The Dell Streak was one of the first 5 inch devices on the market in 2010 when the biggest screen available at that time was around 4.3 inches.

The Streak of course was nobbled by Dell's limited hardware, poor software and lack of support. That let Samsung in in late 2011 when there was better hardware technology, Android Gingerbread and experience of developing the truely awful TouchWiz. And the rest, as they say, is history.

                                        Note 8, Here I come!!!
