All phones don'... moreYeah but it's not the end all be all, it's not like they're giving you 4GB and nothing else in return, you're getting a ton of new software features, new hardware design and the latest SoC that's not only more powerful but way more efficient. Besides I don't even look at RAM anymore whenever I'm considering a new phone so long as it has 4GB, if it has more great if not so be it. I have a 4GB phone and I never ran out of memory so think about 6GB/8GB and the extra cash you're spending in return for almost nothing.

And for the design, I'm just saying how it looks like the S7, which looks like the S6, and all the Notes in between, while I do agree with you on the G6 looking like the G5, the G6 does not look anything like the G4.

All phones don't have a ton of RAM in them because apps rarely take advantage of it and no developers make apps that take advantage of 8GB if RAM because vast majority of phones don't have that much.
Pushing the average RAM of phones up is certainly a net positive.

For now what you can do with extra RAM is allocate it to zRAM.

If it had less RAM than you needed then that's a different story but 4GB is plenty, you won't find one 4GB phone user who'll say that it's not enough for them and their daily needs. And I always vouched for more RAM back in the day because phones were laggy AF due to the amount of apps I'd use on any given day, but not anymore. All phones are fast and smooth as long as it has a decent SoC and at least 3GB of RAM. More RAM is a luxury, you NEED a house to live in lol And again RAM is waaay more useful on a PC than a mobile phone lol always will be too unless it starts running x86 apps and progs.

I can't believe more people don't notice this or turn a blind eye to it; what's the point of having that much RAM if it'll be underused by a weaker mobile OS? Heck I have 8GB in my Windows 10 laptop and I barely use 60% lol I have 6GB in my other one same thing.

i am pretty sure you said that about 720p vs 1080p vs QHD vs 4k, and when ram was only 512 to 1G etc... "oh it is not a pc , you don't need it"
you also don't need a stove and a house and a bed. You could be living in a cave with a fire and sleeping on the floor.
You want it because you can, not because you need it. It is how life evolves!

I don't understand why people are so RAM hungry, it's a PHONE not a PC! 4GB is good enough for at least the next 2-3 years even with TW on top! If you're going to compare the 3T then compare it to the Pro which has a nice 3500 mAh battery, 100 more than your phone.
