I am wondering if the finger print scanner is practical at this place, It was suppose to be under the screen as rumors were if not than center was a very good option. 4GB RAM seriously, even low end phone has it now. I guess I was expecting too much.

Fake picture - USB port is not "type C" the bezel with the ports is the same like S7 Edge, Samsung writing on the back says SAMSUNS (zoom it the picture). Conclusion: Very bad Photoshop render.

So much for the fingerprint scanner being embedded onto the screen. Was super interested in that feature. Can't say I'm a fan of fingerprint scanner being on the back. Wasn't going to buy it anyway because I'm more of a Note guy but they tend to take things from the S line and put it into the Note so this makes the Note less promising.

Live image, really? I call BS unless Samsung decided to change their name to "samsuns". And also, this phone looks like the bottom and the top have been mirrored. So yeah, not real.

I hope it's not the real phone.
Fingerprint sensor in the back is TERRIBLE.
You need to pick the phone from the table to open it.
It's always difficult to place your finger on the sensor without looking at it

Check how bad ram retension is on 4GB phones. OnePlus (a cheapo phone) is crashing them:
                        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otwED6s3rCQ

It's pretty much the one thing they should have not cheapened out. Now you'll see travesties like SD820 phone feeling faster for the simple reason that they will be able to recall more from ram.

Stop supporting bad industry practices, I hope this phone won't sell and people swill start realizing that their phone is kinda slow for 2017

S7's post processing pretty much killed it. HTC, Sony, Google and Apple (and maaaybe LG if you also count selfie performance) have better cams.

It's delusional to say that S7 was the champ. Samsung stopped being the champ in photos in 2015... since then everyone else caught up, their move to 12 Mpixels was not that productive.

AnonD-624256, 27 Jan 2017You don't need more than that smartphones aren't full-blown... moreYou do need more if you want snappy (almost iphone like) performance. Ram management and ram amount are huge on perceived performance, more important than SoC and IO performance.

For the nth time look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otwED6s3rCQ

It show how important RAM retention is to how you perceive your phone's instanteneousness.

There is a reason why OnePlus was last year's performance champ and now with the bigger battery I expect to beat S8 in that too.

RAM is more important in phones than casual computers because you use it more (jump to more apps, than in a casual computer where one mostly use the browser alone)

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2017They said 23% in graphics. The 10% was to the cpu and compu... moreBut you won't see it given the smaller battery. (last year's 5.5 inch phone from Samsung had 3600 MaH battery, this years it's 5.7 inch and 3000 MaH). So you're actually going to see smaller battery life, all because they can use the more efficient SoC as a reason to do that.

Not only that, but 25% in GPU you won't see it. It's so little and android games so underpowered that will hardly make any difference. Same with 10% in CPU.

So all in all , you're going to perceive same performance as S7 but with less battery (due to lower relative battery). I've bought an OnePlus 3T already ... no way I'm waiting for this travesty.

Hmmmm nah....its back look like SGN5 hmmm not smart as such I thought :(

I doubt that both models will be for the European market. Maybe the 5.8 as it is rumoured that Apple will also bring out a 5.8. inch phone. Maybe the 6.2 is for the Asian market where bigger screen are more popular than in Europe.
