AnonD-196068, 27 Jan 2017I would agree but for one thing. We heard all this for the ... moreActually considering the battery size the S6 did quite well. And the Note 5 had a respectable battery life.
And the s7 and edge had a 3000mah...so the same and the edge a 3600mah. Only 100mah more. And the edge has some killer battery life compared to the rest.
So it should be comparable if not slightly improved.
Though I'm still all for the increasing of battery size and they could have done a lot more if they did. But you have to be a certain shape and thickness or else.....Oh no. You're phone might actually have amazing battery life. What a terrible thing!

Anonymous, 27 Jan 201711% performance increasing is so weak that nor even we noti... moreThey said 23% in graphics. The 10% was to the cpu and computing. While also being 20% more efficient.
And that doesn't even describe if the exynos mongoose cores improved.
And that new mali g71 gpu from .
So no. There are not magnificent changes. But the chips have taken a nice advancement in the right direction for sure.
Especially in efficiency and graphics.

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2017Yeah but your forgetting how much more efficient their disp... moreI would agree but for one thing. We heard all this for the S6 and Note 5. It turned out not to be the case with both having poorer endurance than their predecessors. The basic laws of physics don't change after all. What makes it even more ridiculous is that the C9 pro has a 6 inch display and comes with 4000 mah battery and 6gb of RAM.

This means the Note is going to shine this year.
Almost for sure will have 6GB of ram over the 4 here.
Might even get the new larger camera sensorpixel.
And the Note might even have about a 6 inch screen. And maybe stereo speakers.
I bet they definitely do more with the note

AnonD-196068, 27 Jan 2017As soon as you hit the too smaller battery sizes everything... moreYeah but your forgetting how much more efficient their displays are.
And that the Social will be more efficient and with heat pipes.
And you don't know how much more efficient the display or modem will be.
Undoubtedly they should have used higher capacities. But this will still have decent life

Blimey! If these specs are perceived to be correct, Then Samsung you have lost the plot! You certainly are not going to woo Galaxy Note7 customers back with such a trivial offering!
Pros: SD835/ Exynos 8895 faster processor built on 10mm.
I find it hard to class a 25% graphics upgrade of major relevance to anybody other than gamers. As a performance user increased graphics may have a slight advantage.
Bigger Screen(s).
3.5 Jack is a big plus!
Micro SD
Cons:
Ram 4GB? In a year when we're seeing most flagships having at least 6GB this is a big failing.
No mention of SPen for S8.
Only partial 3d touch?
€100 more expensive than last year for what exactly?

11% performance increasing is so weak that nor even we notice any difference. Qualcomm talked about 25% better graphics performance in relation to Snapdragon 835. Samsung, fools at their best. That of 4GB of ram is what I don't understand.

i dont know where thay got this information but its not even close lol .for one the there smallest version wont be 5.8 WHERE DID THAY GET THAT FROM. and yes samsung will keep the 12mp but it wont be the same as the s7 .i think thay will drown the aperture to 1.4
i think the screen sizes will be 5.1 or 52 and plus model will be 5.5 to 6.0
as for the finger print scanner it wont be next to the camera

Samsung got mad. 11% better cpu performance and graphics 23% performance? Only?! As I know the Snapdragon 835 has 27% better performance than Snapdragon 821, what foolishness is that? They are joking with the people? And that screen format is for what?! I'm not talking about the edges i'm talking about 18:9:5. Samsung are clearly foolish even not at least put 6GB of ram when this year will appear phones with 8GB of ram.

So when Huawei released the Porsche Design mate 9 everybody strated to bark and said it is a Note 7 prototype , and how about the fingerprint that has moved to the back and the 3dtouch that has been added here to the S8s, so shall we call it a Huawei p9 plus project ? Absolutely not! But just for some backwarded people that have to notice that and maintain the idea of technology!

Terrible value in an underspecced device with underwhelming camera, battery, ram. Not innovative at all, and sadly it seems that each time technology improvements allow for better performance (in this case 10nm), the manufacturer uses it as an excuse to cut costs (in this case smaller batteries). Instead of giving us the superior experience we deserve (especially given the price hike).
If these specs are true, I really hope the Chinese OEM's make an honest attempt at the developed markets, and bring the price down while eroding the major players market share, we deserve more for our money and they are becoming too greedy.
