I prefer to wait to the S9 or G7, both having a 7nm SoC capable of recording 4K@60 and a 4K OLED screen.
I just really hope the a 7nm SoC would be feasible in q1/2018.
Two months ago, Samsung said the 7nm SoC would be available only at the end of 2018 - so how come now, after only two months, Samsung has improved its schedule so considerably?
I really hope that we would get more info regarding the 7nm SoC schedule - because it's critical for its potential.

Really bad new phones. LG should release a phone similar to the G5 but with more solid metal, Amoled, faster camera performance with same quality, physical keys, and keep the removable battery, IR blaster, and make it water resistant somehow like the Galaxy S5.
Samsung is becoming foolish in their decisions. S5 was really the last good phone. S6 is great but the removal of important features made me switch it to a G5 now. S7 is even worse (no more IR blaster) even though it has great battery life.
I like a phone with a removable battery, IR blaster, microSD card slot, amoled or really high quality LCD, nice speakers (like on the G5 and HTC phones), in a good pocketable size (~5.2 in.) so that I can hold it and use it in one hand.

Due to the screen ratio of 2:1 and 18.5:9, none of the devices will offer a more usable surface than the current galaxy s7 edge. Basically, the 6.2 inch screen will be longer than the current 5.5 of the edge 7 BUT it will be narrower. So, it's not like we will have a more usable screen.
