[deleted post]Haven't you read the Samsung specs. They do look like a Chinese rip-off ... Even if you're a billionaire, buying Samsung is the same as being ripped off at this point.

I don'the like the new style at all! I'll just keep my Samsung Galaxy 6 Active with 3 buttons at the bottom. I also don'the care about the finger print feature either

I like the S7 design much better. No Samsung logo in the front? Come on Samsung, now everyone will assume it's a Chinese crap by seeing the front. Don't like fingerprint sensor on the back. Yikes!

the front is absolutely gorgeous.the back is not yet what it has to be.why they can t hide the camera like honor magic and it has to be this classic ugly square.and come on samsung don t put the sensor in the back!i hate it!if you can t put it under the screen just don t put it anywhere.

If fingerprint gonna be located beside the camera, I won't buy it.

venom0706, 29 Jan 2017My dear, yes they are.My rule is that if you can buy Chinese phones (of less than $150) with those features they certainly ain't.

I honestly hope that those people supporting Samsung here are working for Samsung, else I cannot explain their fervor in defending them. That's literally harm the consumers.

Let me remind you that it was Samsung the first to use more than 3000 MaH battery and 3GB of RAM in September 2013 with Note 3. It used to cost less than those phones too.

Asking from Samsung to start giving more for the price (as they *used to*) is not illogical and also "bashing" it for remaining g stagnant in key areas is still not unfair. Samsung used to push the hardware end of the market (Apple/Google the software end).

What we get lately is merely a slowing down of evolution on phones for greater and greater prices. That harms the consumer (we got from dumb Nokia to Smart Android is a matter of years, *because of* the insane pace, there is fear that the next breakthrough in phones won't happen because of the slowing pace, that's a legitimate fear).

Anonymous, 28 Jan 2017If you want to have extreme prejudice even before the devic... moreI'm curious really? How should a $900 flagship perform? Significantly better than say any of the $500, $600, $700 or $800 ones? No "flagship" deserve anything above $600 in my book because when every time that happens, outfits like Xiaomi or 1+ proves that they can do one for a lot less? Sure with a compromise or 3 here and there but none that bad enough to break the core functions that we'd expect out of a smartphone or in this case an almost flagship smartphone.

Then again Antutu is horrible it says nothing about nothing. SpecInt and Geekbench also show snapdragons being .... dismembered (as they always do) ... so yeah, that's a common theme. Benchmarks or not, Qualcomm doesn't know how to make cpus.

It's a no go for me with that fingerprint reader placement. Looking seriously to switch to iPhone 8 this year unless Samsung makes good on its promise to a low price on its note 8 to all of us that had to give up the note 7

Don't understand the weird display resolution 18.5:9. It's not necessary to make an elongated phone to be able to hold it with one hand.

You know why iPhone beats other at benchmark? Optimalization. Here is the proof.
Now my friends, prepare to be shocked:

                                https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqqLYqXiHZw

The phone you see here is Nokia X2 Dual Sim, 2014, SD 200 (dual core 1,2GHz) 1 GB RAM, running on modified Android 4.3. Playing Asphalt 8 on max setting. MAX SETTING.

Optimalization can make or ruin phones. Now it's on Samsung to make TouchWiz less laggy. Just mention you Nokia is back in bussiness, with SD 430- loaded mid-range running Android 7.0 smoothly. Nokia-grade optimalization.

The A10 Fusion would be considered a last generation processor, and the SD835 a new generation one, and even though the A10 Fusion and SD820 look similar on paper, the A10 is vastly faster

Just one A10 core is possibly stronger than a whole SD820 , that's how bad Qualcomm CPU's are ... I lost my final repect for this company when both exynos and snapdragon s7s were released, last year, when Snapdragons were punished reaaally badly in all benchs, battery tests, and real life tests.
