IO speeds... moreIf you want to have extreme prejudice even before the device is launched that's fine, but I'll wait until the official release and some people actually using the device. If it performs like a $900 flagship in 2017 should, I'll buy it, but if it only upgrades on the performance of the S7 a little bit, I'll definitely buy a Chinese phone too. SD835 Huawei with 6-8GB of RAM and a tiny-bezel design for $200-300 less, mmm...

It *will* be a slower phone no matter what due to the 4GB of Ram, period. OnePlus can keep most of its apps in memory (no loading times between apps), same with iphone. S7 couldn't and this phone won't.
We have nothing to wait on, we *know* this phone will be slower than many last year's phones, we *know* it's using the same sensor/lens as last year, which was already behind HTC and Google, we *know* that 3000 MaH battery s*cks on 5.7 inch phones, because *every* phone with that big screen and that small battery was at the bottom of gsmarena battery life list.
We *know* that the fingertip sensor is on the back which is an awkward placing (you have to lift the phone before unlocking now).
I waited for this phone because I thought that Samsung will try to combat the rise of Chinese phones (Mi Mix EVO anyone?, with its 4400 MaH battery and 6GB of RAM?) But noooo, they simply don't care. They figure consumers will buy from them no matter what... well they won't have my money.
They either have to step it up or ... step down.

well I have had different manufactured phones and to me I like the Samsung the best..... I've not had any trouble with it or anything go wrong...... so I really like the Samsung Galaxy phones.........

So, you will buy a Pixel with a rear mounted finger print scanner because you don't like the fact Samsung appear to have put theirs on the back also? Makes no sense.
As for size, you do realise the 5.1'' Pixel and the smaller S7 will be similar size, it's just the screen that's bigger, yes? Just that I've never never heard anyone say "no thanks, I'll take that far smaller screen with massive bezels please" since.. Well, every iPhone launch.

This is a RENDER only guys chill your beans....download the image and zoom into the power button on the front side view.....its HOVERING above the device its a good photoshop but not great and with image error checking software its visable that this image is built from copy pastes etc.

Make a 5 inch version of this phone Samsung! There's a considérable market for premium phones with smaller screens size that hardly any phone company caters for anymore. Not everyone needs a humongous screen on their phone; at least those of us who also have tablets.

My expectations are questioned due to the specs looking bad on paper, but never judge a book by its cover, wait for the benchmarks and real life use reviews before slamming a phone. The iPhone doesn't even have a 10 nanometer processor, but it still beats the Snapdragon 835 on performance, I hope Samsung does a good job on software. I don't have a good feel on only 4GB of RAM ($900 phone and they really couldn't put 2 gigs more?), I think any phone can't be totally judged before the official release and benchmarks. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro benchmarks 100,000 with the SD821, while the S7 benchmarks 150,000 with the SD820, specs on paper don't always mean everything, just like with camera megapixels. The S7 benchmarking 50% faster with worse specs is because of software, wait until the real release before making final judgements

Let's hope the rumor that the top 1/4 of the screen will not be taken up by a permanent Samsung logo. It's scary to think, because only the bottom part of the screen is supposed to be pressure-sensitive.

I think fingerprint reader on the back is very stupid idea. Very awkward to use. Everytime you want to use the phone, you have to pick it up and try to locate the reader on the back using only your index finger.
