Nokia’s first MeeGo device, N9, dropped before it's even official?

10 February, 2011
The rumored Nokia N9 may never get to see public light, says Reuters based on industry sources. Nokia refuses to comment the matter so this still isn't official. The Finns are all over the headlines these days...

Just make a phone with 1 Ghz CPU, 512MB of RAM in an anodized aluminum body with 12mp camera, 4.3 inches of clearblack display with 480X800 display, slide-out qwerty keyboard, battery with 10hrs talk time, 500hrs standby time and your good to go.

Nokia phones have good external harware already they just need to have on par internals to stay in the game.

But a 4" stable OS (Whether it's Symbian, Android or Meego) with enough ram 256+ (preferably 512) a good GPU with 16g internal memory (16 is way too much) and a nice camera like the N8. will be the ultimate phone.

I can only dream of it and I'm hoping against odds that Nokia will announce an Android phone in six hours.

I was so tempted to get the Galaxy S, but started reading all these things about it, and my friend has one and was telling that it's not all that, so was so confused.

I'm still on my E71 till something WOW pops up. The WM7 was interesting not until it got reviewed :(.

only if they can all work together to make the perfect smart phone. (I'm dreaming I know LOL)

I still experience some force closures on my Galaxy S but it is extremely rare.

I'm not talking about USB and stuff like that SE still doesn't have USB not until recently. Iphone doesn't have a micro USB port. You are going off topic my friend.

AnonD-37, 11 Feb 2011What version of Android have you tried and what was the handset? I know that the new HTC desire HD will be superb as well as Samsung Galazy S and many others, But I was using the HTC Magic which my lil brother (his 18 lol) is using and loves.

I'm back on my E71, I just love my qwerty.

Had the N8 gave to my sister, I just hate the keypad on when texting. (I send over 3500+ messages a month) So i need something practical.

Now I will either go for the E7 or something with a qwerty hardware.

Motorola started to offer charging via USB in 2006 and set today's industry's standard of using micro-USB in 2008....years BEFORE the almighty brand finally adapated the plug....but still refuses to offer charging via USB on some models.

[deleted post]lol, i'm not a die hard fan believe me. I just like my free Ovi maps.

I like the quick response of iPhone, but hate the limitation and how it depends on itunes (changing a ringtone), I like Android but I hate too much customization (too much force close last time I experienced it), I like Nokia but I hate their slow Browser, Love their build in apps thou.

I do point out the good and bad in every phone, and there is no such thing as perfect phone. I just think that people like should pay respect to the two companies who made mobile phones available in the first place.

When I talk I talk on my behalf, I give my opinion. You like what you want and buy what you want. Just don't come on here insulting people.

As people pay enormous amounts of money for soccer teams (from tops to memberships to socks and even underwear) people support phone brands. They win once they lose once. No big deal but the Competition will always be there whether you like it or not.

What we say will not change a thing, it is up to the big dogs to make a difference and steal our money. LOL. true story.
