A new report comes to back up past rumors saying Samsung is using the entire initial production run of the SD835 for itself.

The other truth- look at their proposed Exynos with 4GHz cores. What a SoC! The last news are from 9.2016 then Samsung suddenly announced SD 835 will be their first 10nm chipset in mass production. Some serious messup had to happen. I believe Samsung is in deep trouble right now. Small fire visible at kilometers away lol. It's gonna be fun if SD 835 gonna make phones hot like oven.

so snapdragon is the only chipset worth getting??? seems like its them who are creating a monopoly..and no exynos this year??

AnonD-4837, 11 Feb 2017I hate Samsung for doing this to LG and to other brands who... moreall big companies (microsoft and google for example) have at some point done these kind of anti-competitive actions, that's why monopoly is bad for business. The best thing to happen for Android is the rise of chinese oems to cut into Samsung's monopoly, since the other big names (LG, Sony, HTC, Moto) seem to enjoy Samsung beating the hell out of them.

Lg has thr choice of delay launch but they want consumer to have 821 and then say samsung is hoarding the chip, well they want you to believe samsung is greedy in fact LG playing a fool of you all putting 821 and selling it at higher price. :)

A move like that will just push me not to buy either one of these, instead go for a phone of last year and pay half of the price and have sd82x series phone. Then hope that next year they will do better or that other cpu's catch up and surpasses snapdragon.

i got s7 edge at the moment.. in terms of "performance" i`m happy with it.. he do the job well.. now definetly i will go back to lg... if the phone will have a brighter display then the g5.. a good battery life.. waterproof... and a nice design.. all i need to buy it.. in terms of performance for me all phones that are "flagship" starting form 2015 they do hell of a job.. proccesors can`t go better.. its the android system who have to go better. i don`t care what proccesor its the last one.. i care if he can do the job .. no matter what phone i`ll have..the apss that i use will be pretty much same and many of them are old.. and they dont need some super extra proccesor. in terms of rams 4 gb its more then fine ,. i will focus on design battery display and jack ofcorse. sd820 do a very good job for the next 2 years easily

Like a G6 :v, 10 Feb 2017Snapdragon 821? Laggy? You really need a doctor.Lol, its not a matter of CPU performance (its an ARM cpu, not an x86 one for starters) but a problem with the Android ecosystem, which is manufacturers jam pack it filled with features and animations that are not appealing or useful and just hinder the fluidity of something that if were much simpler and attractive, would draw users to it and not away from it. Also its an old chip and you clearly dont know what your saying .-.

I hate Samsung for doing this to LG and to other brands who are eyeing for that chipset. Can they just make it half to have a healthy competition.? LOL
So this also means that Nokia/HMD's rumored flagship phone will face the same fate of G6 as far as chipset is concerned.?

LG like Sony mobile stopped trying so they will die a horrible death.

Samsung can't make chipsets for at least one more OEM? They only have North America as the place where their Flagships will be uquipped with the SD835. And then its Exynos everywhere else.

To revive it, LG would have to design from scratch from a new ARM chip, which takes a lot of time and resources, and LG don't sell enough phones for that, and they don't have people for that, unlike Samsung which is the biggest chip maker in the first place.

that 6 week (on few markets) is not so much considering samsung will most likely sell more s7s in that time than lg g6s (especially if it gonna be more expensive as rumored). After S8 come, LG wont be even on charts anymore. I wonder how many costumers will they gain and lose at the same time with this move.

better wait till june then release the phone with a 2016 chip. nobody is gona buy it! maybe if they sell it with 299 dolars could sell some with the snapdragon 821 otherwise people will go with samsung or htc or other phones who will have the sd835 even later. people can wait for a few months!
