AnonD-600061, 21 Feb 2017What about personal data, did they make sure everything is ... moreAnyone who returns back to the OEM should have done factory reset if they do really care about any personal stuffs inside. What if Samsung or its employee exploits it then??
P.S - Refurbished phones would be sold only with formatted memory though. Dont worry the second hand user cant retrieve any data if they intent too!!

What a bad phone all around...
Even if you take away the exploding battery it was a high way robbery. It was basically the galaxy edge + pen released 6 months late with lesser battery life for (much) more money. Unless you reaaally want the pen this phone was (and is) a terrible idea.
In a way the market was saved by the exploding note 7 , it may have given ideas to Samsung to phase out the series altogether as it is a shameless money grab lately (ever since Note 5 in fact).
Just add pen support to S8 plus and be done with it... stop releasing redundant products. Keep it simple so that it would be easier to upgrade , consumers not cofused and mostly not being taken advantage off (pricing a single feature so high and forcing people to wait for it for no reason at all).

Wonder if the refurbished Note 7 are degraded in order not to steal sales from the Note 8.

Bailey, 21 Feb 2017Its no where near a year old phone it was August in America... moreWhat I mean is if we count the number of months we have seen the official version until June of this year. It's only 9 months since then, which is almost a year old already.

You are forbidden to bring this thing aboard an airplane on almost all major airlines, so it's pretty useless for most people who fly constantly

I guess they'll change some like the camera hardware (possibly the same as what the S8 and S8+ will have if something changes to the camera) or the style or design of the stylus. SnapDragon 821 is technically a little better than SnapDragon 820, but still lags a little behind Exynos 8890 because of the greater number of cores powering the device.
If they're going to change the CPU, then we'd call it "Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Lite" or "Samsung Galaxy Note 7 2.0"

JordanBaby, 21 Feb 2017Upon inspection, Samsung themselves already said that the p... moreRefurbished Note7 will have "a new smaller battery and outer shell," and "other key parts are also likely to be replaced."
This is more than enough to assumed it will be a completely different phone. They changing the battery, the outer shell, the key hardwares too. I hope they could use SD821 here.
