AnonD-632062, 21 Feb 2017"Return Of The Note7!" Makes for a good headline. BTW if ... moreThey can return it back to Samsung though, and maybe they'll refurbish it for free, or if not, then maybe cost a little more (extra $50 maybe). As a Sony fan, Samsung's service is truly great

mixa, 21 Feb 2017Samsung didn't learn a thing or seems. Only a complete idio... moreI'm not 100% confident that the product would be perfectly safe, but judging from their explanatory advertisement, the refurbished version should not have the problem anymore, since they themselves told us that they already learned from that mistake and they'll try their best efforts to prevent the fiasco from happening again. Who knows, maybe that's right, maybe not, so let's just see if they can. But for real, they should start this for $400 then I might consider getting one

"Return Of The Note7!" Makes for a good headline.
BTW if this is true, then all those people keeping the old Note7 as a collector's item will be disappointed! LOL! :P

AnonD-625786, 21 Feb 2017Some people find it people, some don't, and it was sarcasm.... moreTwist? Note 7 was officially priced at $1,000, which I suspect is the "original price" you're referring to. So even if they price this for 50% off, it would be roughly at $500, still too expensive for almost a year old phone. Given that the S8 or S8+, costing $1,000 at launch, will be 50% off after a few months, I wonder if anyone would ever buy this remade star which put the company's reputation and dignity near to death. But I feel that Samsung would be like Apple this time and price the S8 and S8+ higher to keep the Note 7's deal relevant, since they still need to regain back their huge loss after the fiasco of their black flag

              Can't wait.....
              The king has return

[deleted post]Upon inspection, Samsung themselves already said that the problem was with the internal structure or design of the phone, leaving no space for the battery to breathe. Even if they put a different battery with the same capacity, the problem of explosion would continue again and again, which is why the report is telling that the battery will be slightly degraded (I suspect around 3,000-3,200mAh) in order to keep the battery free to move inside. I wish people were doing research..........

Personally can't wait, not a fan of the S8 bezel-less display, rear fingerprint sensor and no home button. So im eagerly awaiting this, hope having a smaller battery and a new phone case/frame sorts out any issues.

I find this ethically unacceptable. I do hope authorities in these markets reject this move.

There was a huge user base of note7 owners who were not ready to give up on there note7 even after the risk, there ok with there note7 but samsung started blocking note7 through imei so they had no ther option but to return there units,
So this is a great news for people who wud want to buy note7 for a affordable price.however samsung sud release its full specs before selling it otherwise no one will buy it.

They will buy whatever Samsung shoves down their throat, no matter the cost or quality or worthiness of the product. Worst of all, they're going to gloat and hail Samsung as "the best company ever" while they buy their bulls**t.
                                Sad, but unfortunately true story.

If the price is around $450, there's no reason to buy any other smartphone.

Anyway, they should price it 50% lower than its original price, since it gave the device bad reputation. Hell, some people can also still be scared to buy the device, even if the batteries were replaced. It's nice seeing Samsung try, though.
