Still waiting to see an Android "power user" do so many productivity tasks in the same time it would take one to do them on a Windows phone. Or customize their phone on so many levels that you can do on Windows.

Until then... Android users = normal, everyday users; iOS users = non-techy users; Windows users = power users.

Good to see Sony getting deserved attention. It woud have been interesting if S8 had been launched as well.

Sony are like Lexus, once you go lex there ain't no going back. As the quality is above & beyond all else.
Both brands are the product of a relentless persuit of perfection.

If power user, use mobile charger.
Xperias batteries dont degrade over 2 year time.
Changing the sealed battery is about 10$ more than just buying the battery for nonsealed phone.
I prefer keeping the ip rating more than that ability, thanks.

Thats Sony ram managment with 3gb
Wanna see it with 4 gb?

Open as much apps as you can, and then run most demanding game you can, or record 4k video....
Go to ram stats and see how much is actually used....;-)

AnonD-404798, 04 Mar 2017''SoC matters very little to every day performance'' - Yeah... moreFirst I didn't say that SoC doesn't matter at all, I said that it is secondary to RAM. Watch better chipsets (often) being dominated by this 6GB phone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otwED6s3rCQ

Also expect during 2017 plenty of midrangers (with 6GB of RAM) winning over "flagships". You must be trolling BTW because I can back up my opinion whilst you can't.

Lastly sealed batteries are very expensive to replace to the point that most people don't , they simply prefer to buy a new phone. Also you lose the capacity to go instant 100% (i.e. carry a spare), both very important to power users. Not that you would know any of it, you seem a layman.

Tann Hauser, 04 Mar 2017I like people like these, popping up, with their 6 or 8 gb ... moreWhat you say is nonsense.

Educate yourself in the importance of RAM in linux systems (i.e. nothing like it is in your windows machine). Yes, if you can put 32GB would be better than 16GB or 8GB, because the more you have the more the system *automatically* stores in RAM eventually running your whole system to something akin to a ramdisk. Have you ever ran any system on a ramdisk? I did, it's the single stuff that plays the hugest role in every day performance, *exactly* the kind of performance you need on phones.

Watch this video and *any* video that tests both launch speeds and ram retention and please, *please* change your opinion. RAM is huge on linux system and it should be finally be known to OEMs too

                          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otwED6s3rCQ

It's most of always that the phone with more ram that wins those test. Resolution doesn't matter (much), *SoC* doesn't matter (much), RAM does and memory management does.

So stop spreading fud and change your tune.

Xperia XZ Premium have Qnovo battery charging technology leading in the battery durable and very sturdy phone competition, the competitors all far behind Sony.
