My money is on the BlackBerry PlayBook. It's biggest drawbacks are obvious like battery life and lack of app support. But it is the perfect size for me and it looks like the only tablet that actually needs a multi-core processor to use with its real multi-tasking and not the half ass attempt (aka app switching) from the iPad! QNX looks like webOS on steroids. At this point, most OSes offering "dual-core" is just a marketing term like people who think more megapixels means better photo quality.
Pretty sad that iPad 2 gets announced yesterday and it still not as powerful as a gaming handheld like the Sony NGP. If Sony can price the WiFi-version of NGP/PSP2 at $299, I could care less paying $500 for these overpriced tablets. There is a reason why Engadget named the Sony NGP as the most anticipated gadget for this year. It is the one device worth waiting for that raw power and hopefully price!

It's amazing how many idiotic comments are posted about Apple iPad's being rubbish & badly speced and how Samsung and HTC and other tablets beat it hands down and how important the megapixel of the camera is!!
The funny thing most of these comments are posted by geeks who haven't even touched an iPad. It's like a food critic writing a restaurant review without even trying the food, just written one based on the menu? Listen, I am a PC geek, for gods sake I've building them for a living for gamers for that last 15 years but I love the iPad. And I'll tell you why, yes it isnt the best specified tablet/netbook out there not even close....but that's not the point! It is incredibly user friendly and the apps are really really good and intuitive & made to work seamlessly with the product.
It does what most average Joes want it for which is surfing, playing fun games(not pc/xbox), simple word,excel,poerpoint docs and presentations, read books, watch movies and businesses can also build apps to work on it. For instance my business has built their stock checking, showing customers pics of products, ordering, payment processing,etc into one app they made for it. It wools unbeleivably well. Better than when we had it on the rubbish Samsung windows based tablets. Our IT team even tried an Android tablet before this iPad & it was terribly unreliable.

You must buy any NETBOOK (or LAPTOP) and will be more happy, but not this almost useless piece of crap!
Why?
Coz Apple no have a respect to theyr customers and admirers, look, NO radio, can't made GSM calls, no card slot, primary camera just 0,7 MP, secondary just VGA, Bluetooth v2.1, no JAVA, too heavy - weight over 600 grams and all nasty restriction.

is the 4th or 5... moreThe only reason I can think of where I'd buy an ipad, is if I wanted to browse the internet with Safari on a larger screen than my iphone, use it as a good ebook reader (as opposed to the Kindle) and take advantage of the many apps.
I'd sooner buy a notebook pc.

Ipad 2 might win with its iOS because of its reliability and support, but it definately can't win regarding to the hardware features. (period)

Apple released the iPad and now every manufacturer wants a piece of the pie and is making a tablet. They are playing follow the leader.
If you trully have an iPad before then you will know its limitations before you bought it. Anyone can claim to own it and say they dumped it. I used to own an Archos 101 and it's a piece of junk. Archos tablets are the worst Android tablets out there. It may be full of features but dozens of reviews says it's frustrating to use and full of bugs. It's nowhere as fast as a Galaxy tab and even the Galaxy tab isn't perfect. I would buy a Moto Xoom if I want a pc like experience but never a device from Archos, a company known for producing products that sucks.

apple manufacturers great piece of equipment as i am using apple computers. ipad has great design and OS but being itune dependent & lack of pc capabilities makes it a piece of crap...i just hope apple creates a tablet pc with the functionality of a tablet pc

i had an ipad before. i purchased to replace my tiny netbook & it is just a piece of crap. i traded it with archos 101, android tablet. this is a lot better as it function like a tablet pc should be. no need to to sync, can host thumb drive. browser supports flash, can be paired to a printer. and there is the android market if you are looking for additional apps..now tell me does the ipad can be considered a tablet pc? i hope everyone knows here what a tablet pc should be

I don't see and feels any "useful" things happen on ipad for me,, it just like an ipod touch with big screen, the experience is same as ipod touch, no different,, the functions for me is totally zero,, first time I saw ipad, its like some kind of thing that really "wow" for me, until I bought one and use it's for a week, paying some apps which I really needed for my work and its totally boring and useless.. i don't see any ipad's real functionality as a tablet, apple should make a big change for iPad as a real tablet, especially the OS, should be different with iOS system. really.

The iPad 2 is, reportedly, a bit of a rush job and there were some serious problems getting it together. Inside sources are already suggesting the iPad 3 is the one to look out for and it might be coming sooner than you think.
