the worst tablet pc in the world & yet selling like candies just because of the brand...what a crap!!a tablet computer that needs to be synced to a real computer...it can't even be a host to a thumb drive..it should not be considered a tablet pc, it should be considered called junk!!

Actually that's still valid for all tablets, including iPad. They're uselsess for anything but checking the calendar & mail. Some millions of such devices sold worldwide doesn't mean anything nowadays, except there are many early adopters with extra cash.
iPad2 is different story - it's the iPad done right, with all the basic features: 1080p hdmi output, powerful CPU, proper hardware, ~ good price.
If you think that's not true ask yourself why did Apple go for all those features in iPad2 and didn't go for the "iPad 3G". The simple answer is - having less didn't really work (look at the sales fig. for iphone before 3gs & apple tv1&2 as ref). ;)

Don't make me laugh.
I had one & it was an underpowered piece of junk - it was the same size as a laptop but with less power than a netbook. It had a 2 hour battery life if I did nothing more than open a word doc. It didn't have the power to run any pc games without constantly freezing. Same with videos.
Don't get me started on the screen - I had to use the digitizer pen & when it wasn't lost it was scratching the screen & you had to squint to make out the little X to shut down the program.
There's a very good reason they didn't sell - they were crap.
You have to admit that Tablets had faded into obscurity until the ipad came along - before that you could pick up what was a 2 grand tablet for about 50 quid.
Now, thanks to the ipad you're looking at 2-300 quid on ebay as apple have reignited tablet fever.
& there would have been no galaxy tab without the ipad (or any other android tablet for that matter).

I am not really an Apple fan but i understand why people like the products. I have an iphone 4 and the build quality is like nothing else. The Ipad 2 looks amazing and even if the Xoom and samsung have better function it wont make a difference to the average customer because with a doubt Apple will sell more. To all the people that complain about Apples walled garden of which i am one. the beauty of that is you dont have to anywhere to get stuff its just all in the one place in one word its simply. Do you really think the average Joe is talking about dual core and ram they just want something that works and for all peoples hate of Apple when you look at the Ipad the UI layout is simple to understand and the icons are easy on the eye, yes its boring yes the UI could do with an update but the Apple fans and general customers wishing to buy their first smart phone or tablet don't care less because its easy. I really like Android but give someone out on the street and Android tablet and lets see how they do? That is the key to their sucess no over designed products pleasing to the eye and easy to use, yes they could pack in a load of specs but they are much more interested in the fact that it runs smooth and programmes dont keep crashing i am not say that is always the case with them but they have a better track record than most.
People get really upset when you mention the fragmentation issue in Android because to fans of Android openess is good and the walled garden of Apple is bad. Google dont really care because the Android software is really just another place where ads can be run to all people that own the handsets and its where they make the bulk of their money they really dont care if you get stuck on 2.1 because every year they will be pumping another cake named flav of Android it dosent matter to them that you can go to about loads of different places to get apps or that some apps in the market just spend all there time crashing or that if you have a different chip to your friend you can go to the place to get games because all they care about is ad revenue its what makes the bulk of there money buy a honey tablet today with it will be outdated end of this year or start of next. Cry and hate Apple all you like and i am bored with them but they have done something right.

You've been reading way too much wikipedia I think, "tablets are not thinked for this", and what else arent tablets "thinked for"?. Id happily use my tablet to take photos, preferably of the best quality, you make it sound like this huge ordeal! Its not practical? Thats what you think!

There are no laws saying just because its a tablet it shouldnt be used to take pictures because its too "big" or "not practical". If I have a camera on anything I'd like to be able to take the best pictures possible otherwise it defeats the purpose of having a camera if that camera takes basically s**t images ie 1MP/2MP. So define for me what a tablet is and why you think tablets dont need 5,6,7,8MP cameras? You obviously have this preconceived idea that "its only a tablet, who cares about how good the camera is!" Judging by your english id say its you who doesnt understand my point of view.

Even now majority of the software for Android 2.x is not working on tablets, despite they're running the same OS version. Do you believe that it will run on another, newer OS version, done only for tablets?
The situation with Android fragmentation was pretty bad before Honeycomb, but there were hopes that 3.0 will address it. Instead, it made it worse and for future it will become really a killing factor for the whole OS! If you add the crazy price tags for the devices the picture gets even worse for Android.
Just my 2c - I hope I'm wrong though as without competition, we all know what MS & Apple are capable of doing with their products.

*yawn* I didn't even know iPad 2 was annnounced today. Dual-core? Been there, done that. Cameras? Ditto. Such a ho-hum announcement. BlackBerry PlayBook is better. Go on YouTube and watch it run two Flash videos in the background. iPad can't even play one in the foreground.
I love iPhone 4, but isn't iOS getting way too stale and redundant? The next big deal for iPhone is getting a 4 inch screen! A 0.5 inch increase? Big whoop! Welcome to 2009, Apple. HTC has been pushing this trend before. Seems like Apple is now copying the innovations brought from Android first like 1GHz, multi-core, 4+ inch screens, NFC, touch gestures unlock, etc. Even FaceTime was just a gimmick that was really video calling that Nokia brought to the world several years ago. Eventually, they will copy using live widgets and the touch gestures from Palm's.
