This iPad will of cause outsell the competition not only because of it's build, on that part it's not really ahead of the competition but it is an Apple product.
Samsung's Galaxy Pad 10.1" is kick ass but as owner of Samsung product myself i know the support does not come close to how Apple supports their products.
At the end of it the company must support their product so the customer is happy especially when you pay premium for the product.
I am one of the people who do not like Apple's walled garden strategy but hey at the end most buyers are not geeks they just want something that works and keeps on working and Apple seems to provide that.

sure all apple product sure to survive long time as long as CYDIA n JAILBREAK exists.......if both r gone it'll going up to be just BADA OS.......piracy and non piracy must be kept balance n coexist to keep going on...just like Windows........

Can it make a phone call? Why don't they reduce the bezel; border which would allow for an increase in screen size without increasing the size of the unit?! Good but more coming in iPad 3. Yawn...

ipaolo, 03 Mar 2011Why in thr hell u need 8 mpx camera in a 10 inch gadget you... moreif you think that using dual camera on a tablet is a joke then why apple include them in ipad 2? and if there are 2 tablets with low spec camera and high spec camera which would u choose? a lot of things u can do with Gtab 10.1" or motoxoom that u can't do on your ipad.. for example u need more storage? use hardisk portable 1TB to connect using usb port on your tab. hmm yummy..

Before the iPad the tablet segment was just a niche and Microsoft and various manufacturers have tried for years and it never took off. The iPad is not for geeks and it was never made to please geeks who just wants the latest tech. Geeks that hangs out on forums like these are just a minority.

Have your useless 1MP/2MP images fool! You could debate that point forever.... Whats the point having a tablet with a 8MP camera? Why do we need dual core CPUs? Why does the Ipad need 64GB storage, 1GB is enough! Think before you speak, oh yea grow up!

I love how people justify a product based on the Apps available ... 99% of the Apps out there are just BS. I have just 5 Apps and they are "just in case" things.

i hope iphone 5 will be dual core with a5 chipset. i want my phone to be super fast! i have the iphone 4 now and im satisfied but better is always "better"

One other thing: iTunes isn't the worst softwre I've ever used, but I've never liked Apple's insistence that it's the ONLY way to manage your iDevice's media library.
If Apple worked with Nullsoft to integrate the iTunes store with Winamp my single biggest complaint would be solved.

Ummm iPad was not the first tablet to come to... moreI agree mate - Apple is the true copycat with iPad 2 (cameras, anybody?) and it's not as though theyinvented the tablet concept. Like iPhone they popularised it and made it cool. Like you I also have to admire their marketing, industrial design and ecosystem that allows them to release technically inferior products at inflated prices.
Apple's competitors are rapidly matching and exceeding their designs IMHO. If I were to get a tablet, it would be Samsung Galaxy tab 10".
