Don't expect any PureView or Carl Zeiss branding though.

mjb2002, 08 Mar 2017Nokia only exists today because Microsoft saved them in 201... moreYou must be the only person that thinks Microsoft saved Nokia
all they did was blow up the ship that was already sinking.
Microsoft phone efforts were a total flop and failure and nobody really was using it
there app market was a total waste land.

Even mr gray own the vertu, while he gives iPhone 7 to the girl. It's not always the doom when someone else is behind the wheel.

        Count me in.

            [deleted post]2010-03 Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 & (2010-05) X10 mini
            is even older.

Here we talk about a proper size and a larger sibling.
            X is 4" - XL is 5"
            iPhone 6 4.7" - iPhone 6 Plus 5.5"
            Lumia 640 5.0" - Lumia 640 XL 5.7"
            Galaxy S6 edge 5.1" - Galaxy S6 edge+ 5.7"
            Nexus 5X 5.2" - Nexus 6P 5.7"
            Pixel 5.0" - Pixel XL 5.5"

But, Xperia Z1 is proper and its sibling Z1 Compact is mini size of it, not bigger one.

Zenodroid, 08 Mar 2017Please do tell us what phone isn't made by something from C... moreIn my comment I point my view toward those who says Nokia is not the original one, It's cheap, It's low quality, etc.

I'm the Owner of Mi Mix which is a globally available innovative smartphone. 6.4" in the body of 5.5" iPhone.
Even cameras which was told that is not so good, for me as I use other apps to manually set the main camera is on par with S6 edge.

Its voice for calling is also same as many other speakers.

So, despite being more expensive than 256GB iPhone 7 Plus here and too limited, It will work for next couple of years as its internal, software and made quality are excellent.

If one concern about Google play services which is not available in Chinese rom, a global rom will solve this problem and bring another as Xiaomi is not focused on Global roms.

I don't hate Known Chinese manufacturers.

But, remember if an unknown manufacturer take the driver seat of a Well-Known brand, What will happen?

Nokia is Nokia. but some people want to distinguish it from prior to Microsoft acquisition.

I hate unknown manufacturers globally. No matter if they are in my home town or overseas.

AnonD-628531, 07 Mar 2017*cough* Xperia XZ Premium/XZs *cough*Sony has too much bloatware. But i admit the compact seems interesting. Just wish it had gorilla Glass instead of plastic screen. Nokia also promise clean Android as pixel and newest updates as sony and pixel.

Nokia only exists today because Microsoft saved them in 2010. Those are the facts.

Had it not been for that, they would be where Alltel is today: dead.

And no one west of the 75th meridian east is interested in Nokia's new Android phones, as there are plenty of those from other ODMs to choose from: Blu, Samsung and LG immediately come to mind.

Abdbar0, 08 Mar 2017Like the hell you are a fan .. TrollNokia would have failed no matter what, in front of iPhone and the rise of Android. Nokia sales were already declining before they even partnered with Microsoft. Nokia smartphone sales took a huge hit because of the touch friendly iPhone (but the Nokias of those days were more advanced and feature rich than the iPhone) and other manufacturers like HTC, Sony, Samsung all embraced Android making it good for app developers. The feature phone market was under threat by Samsung and the like for cheaper phones. That was the time mobile phone markets were filled with Nokia clones from China. The partnership between Microsoft and Nokia only slowed down the Nokia decline due to huge money from Microsoft. But unfortunately the partnership failed and everybody is pointing their finger at Microsoft without a knowing what really happened.

I am not been able to understand, how one can derive a conclusion that Nokia's next phone will feature a snapdragon 835 and blah-blah specs when that tweet only says that it no longer has rights to use pureview camera technology.

-MeeGo= it took them too long, and at the end it was already too little to late
-Symbian= very capable but hronically anti-intuitve.Never really transitioned for touch/gesture and the history judged him
                          -Win7= ... ermmmm it was Win7

And it was'nt their luckluster software all too blame, since late 2000' their hardware was also far cry for what Nokia used to be.Cheap build, swalowed batteries(even fires but you conviniently don't remember that),god awful resistive screens when everyone else was using capacitive touch etc etc

P.S.and they had volume production thanks to ordinary feature phones, not smartphones. And thats even before MS came into the game

Moses, 07 Mar 2017I do not understand this obsession about " wireless" chargi... moreIt is wireless for the phone even if the base is plug in. It actually does offer more convinience when just placing your phone on the base. The idea is that you use this wireless charging when you are about to go to sleep so, you wont be using your phone when charging. Wireless charging through metal is already achieved by Qualcomm. It just a matter of time until they distribute the new technology. For now, it is just a gimmick that offer very little to daily life. In a way, a decade from now charging port might be gone for good just like audio jack if wireless charging and distant wireless charging really do come through. So, dont be surprised if future phone have no holes at all to plug anything.

Haha Fake Nokia is so funny. Just look at all the comments here. Most people are convinced that this is the real Nokia, despite the fact that real Nokia is dead and this HMD global is made by 1/10th of the ogrinal Nokia engineers, and not necessarily the best ones...

Seeing those conversation referring to "Nokia" is so funny. They think it's the same company that produced Nokia 3310
