Microsoft thinks it's a good idea to put ads in your Windows 10 File Explorer

08 March 2017
Coincidentally or not (definitely not), the ads are for the company's OneDrive cloud storage service.

it's okay if the ads comes from the microsoft product and it popped up rarely, once a day, perhaps.
and if they start to showing ads from other companies, they better make the Windows for free. LoL

Do you remember 15 Years ago or so, we talked about the rise and fall of Microsoft. People said that will never come. Yet, now it feels like the twilight for Micro$oft, is almost close at hand.

I just have one thing to say , f#ck off Microsoft ! ... thee is no way that I could accept that and I didn't even pay for may copy of windows :p .

LOL and that ad is laughable unless one only has a laptop, then you have to be an idiot to pay for storage especially at that price ... for $30 I can get an actual 1TB WD black HDD (with little use and zero bad sectors) for my PC ... brand new for $40-50 2TB hard drive is like $65 or so ... and btw I installed on my PC Win7 again after two months of using that crappy Win10 ...and there is also Win9 yay !

No way. That's what separates Microsoft from the rest. They're already making lots of money from consumers.

But people didn't come to bitching about the phone's ads but the PC.

One drive as a app is free( as well as many app that we're using now in us phone). And those "ads" are there for quite some time already, people just didn't bother to look at it. Just open your Google drive, one drive or any other cloud storage app, the ads/offering for users to buy more storage are there.

What's worst is the even when you opt out from Google, the ads still there on many of the Google app. Beside the ads show before the videos on YouTube, I got 2 other ads on my YouTube foe each tap in to watch ( one under the video, another one under the title and description of the video)!

But the nonsense all in one updates did actually come to older windows. One patch in the package is bugged, no way to uninstall or block it. You're screwed.

Haven't really experienced much ads from Windows 10. Probably because I haven't been using one since 2016.
