Anonymous, 15 Mar 2017Windows is really a boring and outdated operating system , ... moreI agree that Windows 10 Mobile falls short in comparison with the other mobile OSs. But W10M still has its own tricks, being the most secure OS of the 3, the smoothest overall experience even on a low-end device (Lumia 640/640 XL/650) and updates as regular as IOS, without the fragmentation visible at Android. If it had an app catalogue like Android or IOS if would have been a real competition...but it's a flop, because it hasn't.

blue.sun, 15 Mar 2017Oh, poor kiddies, how wrong You are.
Microsoft wanted apps... moreNo Dude, Google didn't kill WP. Microsoft killed WP because they designed it to be different for the sake of being different. It's an inferior OS in every way, with moronic 3rd-party app requirements to boot. But we get it, you're a contrarian. You like to be different for the sake of being different. Good for you. But that's not most people. Most people prefer better to different, and that's why the market en masse has wholeheartedly rejected WP.
The Metro UI design language hasn't changed since they introduced it on the Zune HD in 2009. It was terrible then and it's terrible now. The front-end is equally terrible. Live tiles are ugly and extremely limited in their customization and organizational structure.
I mean, you profess your love of WP, but do you not see the irony staring you in the face? Android is FAR more similar to x86 Windows than WP is. If it's about "productivity", then how could WP be more productive than Android when Android has a more Windows-like UI and file system?
And therein lies the problem with your app conspiracy theory. Nobody conspired to keep great apps off of the WP market. It just doesn't make sense for devs to spend more time and money developing an app for an OS that A) isn't popular, and B) forces its design language on you. Why would any company invest the resources to completely redesign an app for a 3rd OS just to address 3% of the smartphone market?
WP is dead, and it's nobody's fault but Microsoft's.

Microsoft wanted apps... more"Microsoft wanted apps. Microsoft even tried to create it's own apps for crucial services. Guess what? The apps were banned by owners of the services (the great and mighty Google may suit as an excellent example). "
Did Microsoft allow Firefox to have a Windows Phone App? Nope.
Did Microsoft allow low level access for Nokia to use the same 41 Megapixel co-processor (scaler) that was in their own 808 Pureview on the Lumia 1020? No. It was an inferior phone just based on that fact.
Did Microsoft continually burn developers by resetting the Windows Phone ecosystem three times since 2010, destroying app compatibility all three times in the process? Yes.
How long did it take Windows Phone to reach feature parity with Symbian? It was early 2014.
Is Bing a superior search engine to Google? Outlook superior to GMail? Skype superior to Hangouts?
Microsoft shot itself in the foot. They played the same tactics they did on the desktop market since the late 90's, and thought their name alone would sell. It failed. Their name is cancer to younger generations. They are BlackBerry.

.alpha, 15 Mar 2017Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella have no idea how to run a compa... moreThat Marketshare was not because of WP OS , that was because of Nokia's solid hardware + Nokia's brand Strength ..
and it was over the day Nokia decided to switch to android.. before even Nadella came into the picture.. they would not have survived for long without Nokia's brand tag...
a lot of consumers didn't like tiles interface + App problem .. It was only good in low end because android hardware at low end was not good.. but now .. even a low end phone comes with 2 gb ram + Quad/Octa core processor .. and can give a very give android experience... why would somebody buy WP ?

Windows is really a boring and outdated operating system , that's why even Nokia left it , it has no cool functions and features , Android and ios are the best with great functions , features , usability , multitasking , user interface, apps , bugs fixes , security updates and lots of things , use android and ios once then you will know the difference , really people who are still using windows are mad , nerd and outdated .

Zenodroid, 15 Mar 2017Wrong. Ms committed suicide on these words: we don't need apps.Yes I agree, windows 10 mobile os was not fully prepared even after several months of launch. The phones which were used to fly on windows 8.1 became sluggish after the update. There were lots of bugs and app crash was regular affair. Even today things have not improved much. Overall I feel Windows 10 OS is not a bad thing as market share would indicate, actually it is better than some android customized UIs , but lack of quality apps, little customization, less control and poor stability of apps (even MS own apps) are major reasons for downfall.

Microsoft wanted apps. Microsoft even tried to create it's own apps for crucial services. Guess what? The apps were banned by owners of the services (the great and mighty Google may suit as an excellent example). Microsoft offered financial support for creating apps. But some super-mega-trendy people simply refused (Snapchat may suit as an excellent example). Just out of pure hatred for Microsoft, how mature....
Windows had a chance to become a good, fast and efficient system. It was not killed by Nadella or MS. It was killed by Google...

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella have no idea how to run a company. Like Google CEO Sundar Pichai, they got their position because India is an important growth market, not because they run company well. Microsoft was so close to achieving an self sustaining 15% marketshare in Europe and India but Satya just call it quit after wasting the company billions. Now it will be far harder for Microsoft to achieve even 10%

Nate650, 15 Mar 2017The bottom chart shows that for the three months ending in ... moreNo growth for BB10. 0,1% is within the statistical margin of error. Outside of a late 2016 security update (10.3.3), BB10 has been dead since Summer 2015. BlackBerry only sells one BB10 device any more and that is discount Leap stock which is a 2015 design update on the old Z30 which has early 2013 specs. They are solidly an Android software company.
