As long as Mali GPU's are still terrible, Snapdragon wins. What's a difference of 300 multi-score, when you double the GPU power?

Someone Else, 17 Mar 2017Please, please stop. You make yourself looks even more desp... moreFinally! Thank you! Well said! I am trying to explain THIS to him just now and he keep throwing nonsense. His idea of making an inferior SD835 is beyond idiocy in business and manufacturing. Why waste labor making inferior 10nm SD830(as he claimed) when they could just make SD835 straight away?! He think 10nm process is easy and widely available?!
He saying it like, "Hey, lets make SD820 in 10nm instead of making SD835 in 10nm. Lets waste our effort and money on worthless 10nm SD820. Lets use all our 10nm process manufacturing plant to build this 10nm SD820 and stop making SD835 for a while so that we can distribute less powerful chipset to other smartphone manufacturer who need it desperately so they can launch their flagship while keeping the SD835 for Samsung only." SMH.

AnonD-451592, 17 Mar 2017F**k, Why they stole all the 835s if they already have a be... moreBecause (to my knowledge) Samsung flagships in the US and in China use the latest Snapdragon instead of Exynos (Idk why though, something to do with LTE bands and cost-cutting). Therefore, Samsung is hoarding the chipsets to ensure that NOTHING, and that includes better performing phones using the SD 835, gets in the way of the S8/S8+ launch.

A prototype is different of the final device..
Every year Exynos is said to be stronger than SD .
Moto Z Force and LG G5 beat S7 in all benchmarks.
XZ only loses to s7 on Greenbench. But has higher antutu , vellamo etc
Wait until Sammy to insert their UI.

AnonD-1825, 17 Mar 2017"Android phones focus on multi core chips but Apple focuses... moreSingle core performance makes the biggest difference in seed if that is how the OS and applications are written, to parse a single core. In iOS that is the case, so yes single core performance is paramount there. That does not degrade the value of more cores in an environment that can and does utilize more than 2 cores. Android applications (not all) are designed differently of course, and many utilize 1-4 cores. There's also the matter that Android handles standby and background applications differently than iOS, as well as have multiple active applications up at a time.
Why you see a difference (which if we directly compare many flagships isn't much at all in real time tests) is iOS benefits from single platform optimization, 1 SoC to code for per generation, instead of 30 (est.) as I said a PC vs console debate similarity. Some PCs will destroy consoles, while others, do not. (Android = PCs, iOS = Consoles)

[deleted post]Sony has consintely be putting the least hardware in the kst volume for year. Just watch how big their phones are compared to how small their screen, their batteries, even their SoCs included are.
Of there was a ratio of how much hardware you can put in a certain space Sony would always lose by a margin. They're aggressively mediocre in their engineering attempts, I don't know why people love them so...
