I have already upgraded it to 2.2, courtesy motafoca.
I am getting markets now, GPS issue is solved, The interface is cool.
The best is wifi tethering, my small phone becomes the hotspot and my laptop can surf using the phone...
Great ..2.2 experience..

When I connect my Galaxy 5 to Kies, it says,"This version of the device cannot be updated." What does this mean? Does this mean I'm never gonna get my phone updated to froyo? My phone is I5503.

Anonymous, 10 Mar 2011No, galaxy tab, as i've heard, wont be getting a honeycomb ... morewhere did this Dual Core processor requirement for Honeycomb come from? I remeber one of the Google Developers tweeted that there were no minimum processor requirements for Honeycomb. it just depends on the manufacturers if they want to release an update.
I say this Gingerbread for Galaxy S is 50-50. I'm using the leaked 2.3.2. the firmware is still laggy & buggy. I doubt Samsung can fix the problem by the end of March.

samsung is sending out all these updates worldwide to their galaxy phones but america....the samsung vibrant....is not...i repeat....is not getting any type of update or anything.....did samsung forget about its us customers....dont think i will be buying anymore samsung devices as long as i reside in the us...
