@nit U should have rather gone for a lg optimus one,it is the best option in that range.I am using a galaxy s and optimus one.And beleive me bro its a steal in its price range.Lg from the very beginning had bad handsets in their portfolio. But lg optimus one was the handset which marked the turning point. It had so much and still priced very very well.It was the first mid range phone to come with froyo out of the box.It has a good navigation app(ndrive) pre installed which itself costs around 50$.And last but not the least ,it is among the handsets with best battery backup.Battery backup used to be an issue with lg phones earlier.I used to be a critic to lg handsets and before buying the handset i tried to find out negative points in the device but couldn't.Thats why this handset sold like hotcackes despite of lg's reputation earlier.Lg has really given their best and given every possible thing they could in this price.Lg chose sale maximization rather than profit maximization for this handset.I wish samsung should also give a good navigation app preloaded in the premium and mid range handsets like they have mapmyindia for the galaxy tab.Guyz at samsung, r u listening. Its good to hear abt the updates.March will be a good month for android users specially samsung as we will see updates for entire android range from entry level to premium level.

HATS OFF TO SAMSUNG AND LG FOR PROVIDING UPDATES TO THEIR CUSTOMERS,AND SHAME ON ALL THE OTHER COMPANIES(EXCEPT HTC) FOR NOT GIVING UPDATES TO THEIR CUSTOMERS,really i never liked samsung for mobiles ,infact i brought a xperia x8 when galaxy 3 and lg optimus one were also available as an option and were cheaper then xperia x8 and now i feel like i have made a big mistake, really samsung has proved me wrong ,hats off to them and i wish this company goes a long way in every field ,they really work hard to give customers the right thing ,my next phone will be of either samsung or lg because they provide updates to their customers, for rest of the companies i have just two fingers to show

Yaaaawwwwnnnnn. Gingerbread has been ported by XDA since when, a few month ago. I must say this is fast for Sammy though even though they are late but they aren't as late as usual. I wonder if my truth filled comments have given Sammy the fierce kick in the rear that they needed. Hopefully they won't continue to be Slackin Sammy.
