i personally got tired of motorola's time. they are more concerned on selling new phones, than supporting old customers, specially in LATAM region, we feel like the ass of the world.
THIS WILL BE MY LAST MOTOROLA EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I followed the Froyo upgade link for Indonesia (http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/Support/XP-EN/froyo/IDN/milestonenotification.htm), after installing the Motorola Software Update and connecting my milestone, the software can read my IMEI, but not the Model number & Operator. After checking process, it return a message saying no software update currently available. What happened moto?

Thank you very much MOTOROLA!
I upgraded yesterday and works flawlesly. And it's faster too. Not that much, however flash player and tethering is a welcome addition. And of course move apps to sd card function :)
Quadrant standard score with 2.1: 327
Quadrant standard score with 2.2: 430
Nena Mark score with 2.1: 12,6fps
Nena Mark score with 2.2: 14,6fps
SUPER!

I have a motorola A853 Milestone made in Brazil sense there is no upgrade for Latin America and North America,I search for an original upgrade and I found one that had the frequencies I need it,is the Thailand one,I install it and fix the problem of the reboot, what I notice is that when making a call was not ringing and in fact if I called or had an incoming call could not hear anything, so what I had to was to use the SBF vulnerable Androniani file to install the frequencies I needed, I notice the interface is a little slow I had to install a dock because the original 2.2 dock was not install with the upgrade,i could not transfer apps to the SD had to install a program another thing is that the the camera and video as well as the gallery interface has not changed, I'll try it for a few days if I get a lot more problems I will install the update for European countries.
I hope this little review help some people that wants to install the upgrade, remembers I install a different version than the one I needed, so maybe this problems does not apply to everyone.

hmmm,, motorola just experienced costumers' responce for their disregard to their older products, and saw the sales of their new devices like Atrix and others lower than any of the major company,, they know that android is what brought their company from coma and they know that they can't risk losing more costumers, so now they start upgrading their older devices! yet for me i won't even think about a motorola unless they upgrade all their device of last year to gingerbread!just like samsung and HTC are doing,, good step nevertheless!

DO NOT UPDATE!! Just updated my milestone to Froyo, the speed is noticeably slower than 2.1 and the worst thing is now I'm not able to open the Market!!!!! An error message popped up says "An error has occurred. Please try again later". Restarted the phone several times but the error massage is still there. Anybody encounter similar problem and any known solution? Btw I'm in Singapore.
