having a larger sensor doesn't mean you'll have bad low light quality even if the aperture in't big this can be compensated with image stabilization for anyone who knows anything about photography knows that the main way of enhancing low light performance is slowing down the shutter speed. What companies do with lower resolution sensors and "bigger pixels" is always enhanced with a lot of software. This route is taken only because it's easier to work on processing the image instead of developing a sensor that can compensate well enough to keep the shutter open for long enough. Bigger pixels are just the easier way not the best.

Otherwise it wouldn't be as fast/accurate for longer focus, say architecture and landscape shooting. The 808 lens is proper for general use. The "kit" lens for any SLR can't do macro either, that's for specialized lenses. I usually shoot 85mm on APS-C and (auto)focusing anything closer than say 10 ft fails a lot, anything closer than 5 ft being impossible.

AnonD-632062, 02 Apr 2017I think 30MP is definitely the sum of the individual camera... morePureview 808 and Lumia 1020 does have 41mp camera but the maximum resolution for still photos is actually 38MP in 4:3 mode and 34MP in 16:9 mode. Another thing to note is that Pureview 808 camera is not as good as it seem. It is notorious for focus error. The autofocus cant seem to focus accurately on subject. It also have a very large minimal focus distance. It cant focus on anything less than 20cm from the lens. This making it a horrible camera for macro shot. The Lumia 1020 did better overall for this. If only it can record 2K and 4K. The standard back then was lower.

Where i live, most people dont really joke about anything but when your an active internet user like me and you find out 90% of all articles are a joke, it just makes you feel like it is waste of time to even open an internet browser on that day and even more so when some jokes should be believable and represent actual products (unless completely overrated) but they arent :(.

I think 30MP is definitely the sum of the individual camera resolutions especially since Xiaomi already dabbles in dual-cams. Otherwise, I don't think anyone (even Nokia/HMD) would inch towards a super-high resolution camera again (a la 808 Pureview/Lumia 1020). The Google Pixel's HDR+ camera is right way forward.
