Absolutely first class instructions. Installation was very smooth (following all steps).
On initial boot, WOW factor kicked in as I could not believe how fast it booted and it was very fast.
DISAPPOINTMENT returned after restoring Titanium app backup. Reboot and it took just as long as my previous ROM. More disappointment after closely inspecting it for a day, ROM just felt naked and not polished. Features that I've grown accustomed to were missing - theming, app functionality ie, phone call recording, etc.
Decided that for the time being, I would return to using Darky's ROM v9.5 with the Black Android theme.

I flashed it yesterday and everything is perfect. BUT battery drains really fast. Lasts only 7 hours!!
Display is supposed to drain 45% but I have at lowest brightness, no live wp and in powersaving mode...
Doesn´t that happen to everyone?

I have 2.3.3 for two days now and I must say it os the best ROM I tried. The battery life is really good and quadrant score is 950 but after root and a lagfix it reaches 1900. Now my Galaxy S is a ninja-phone, moves really fast and no errors. Yuppy! :D

Just flashed gingerbread but from xda. It works like a maniac! Not a single problem so far, speed is unbeliavable, graphics and adittional options cannot be even compared to older firmware! gingerbread is a lot more user friendly nd 10 times faster! flashed with bootloaders with no pit or repartition and my phone just became the beast it was ment to be!!!

Guys I'm in australia.....and installed this update after messing around with every rom I could get my hands on, inc Darky's 9.4
All I can say is this rom has stopped me from selling my galaxy s.
Finally after a year of lag and crashing, the galaxy s works!!!
Here's to gingerbread 2.3.3

plzzzzzzzz dont update...problems are much greater
1.while booting up instead of showing galaxy s gt i9000, watermark comes
2.less free ram
3.not compatible with 3g
4.no voodoo lagfix---benchmark-only 954
5.cant deodex--may be i am at fault but i deodexed 2.2.1 xxjpy much easily.

I upgraded to 2.3.2 initially and it was a real dog, laggy and constantly crashing.
The other day i updated to 2.3.3, an it's amazing, fast responsive stable and a few new features. I also think it's improved my battery life a little (TBC)

PyRO, 29 Mar 2011Hey... Just noticed quite some performance hits compared to... moreNo lag anywhere in the interface here. Quadrant score is low but who gives a toss about Quadrant? I know the phone is faster just from using it. I can't figure out how a shitty benchmark like Quadrant became the standard for comparing performance.
