There is utterly no good technical reason to remove the 3.5 mm jack. Apple did it because it wanted to sell its expensive earpods and if not, then you have to buy an overpriced adapter from them. It was purely revenue generating without any benefit for users. HTC jumped on to the bandwagon because it wanted to be the first to ape Apple. HTC claims to have made a sophisticated earplug with a USB-C connector. Even if that is true, there is still no need to eliminate the 3.5 mm jack. This is a stupid move by HTC and they should be ashamed of themselves.

        Without a 3.5mm jack, again.

Anonymous, 17 Apr 20173.5 mm is 1980 technology just like Floppy Diskette's. HAHAHHAAHAnd yet it still is the means of providing the best quality audio and is the most practical. Go back and enjoy your many dongles.

Absolutely HTC = Help The Company

Really sad. Got the HTC 10 because of the audio, and the 3.5mm and the closer to stock Android. What does HTC have going now over a sub $250 Moto G5 Plus ? A lot of gimmicks ?

To big. This shiny stuff looks cheap, is for kids - who unfortunately cant pay such money for this device. Bring back the M7. Learn from past - phones came smaller and smaller. I dont need snow shovel in my pocket.

This is why I got the Pixel last month which wasn't easy to get. Pixel 2 might remove the headphone jack.

It will take a minimum of 10 years for smartphones to go all wireless. Until then, companies shouldn't remove the headphone jack if charging is still mostly wired. They should remove charging ports and headphone jack simultaneously together.

It's really sad how HTC is going down. I thought they will come back with the HTC 10 (which really seemed to be a great phone), but it's over. The Android pioneer is dead. RIP

HTC never impressed me with the waste of space design of its HTC U model. I hope that they don't negatively influence the Pixel 2 phone's design if Google hires them to get involved in the design!!
