I have high hopes that nokia would stand up again one day.. but it seems that it never happens. Its not that i praise android ok, but why cant they make a ui that is as good as android or ios.. even webos.. android is a young OS and yet, it surpasses the symbian ui. Its really disappointing that nokia cant create a ui tgat good.. they always rely on their booring symbian os. Now i see they're changin it, still feels and looks pretty boring. Why do people keep complaining about nokia? Because nokia is so far behind the OS game. Yes. There are still nokia fans there. But its not the same since android came out.. if nokia just goes with the OS flow, they would still be getting positive comments. But no. Nokia is receiving more negative comments than good ones. Poor nokia

they finally understand what they need to do with new symbian...bravo,with more updates symbian can be good, why than wp7.....If WP7 don't change interface to more familiar look, not like a child game os, Micronokia is f+++- up.Transition to WP7? minimum 1ghz....Does everyone have 600$ or 500e to spend on phone which is anything, except serious OS ( for now )...hardver is great.I don't see that price for android devices is falling down...so what they are thinking: go on wp7 and make all phones 500e,and everything on the air ,buy buy buy.Apple can do that, nokia can not.I hope there are big minds in this, not troyan horses.we will se.

It's hilarious to see how ignorant android users are. They come here and troll nokia, i wonder what made on earth to them to always invade nokia related articles. Symbian fulfilled all my needs thatsall. All other things that you android guys always praise doesnt matter for a symbian user.

Even if i am already using 3 super android mobiles, i still have high hopes for nokia or symbian for that matter to be in my pocket someday. it is hard to forget my 11-year experience of Nokia/Symbian.

symbian 3 is most resource efficient os. nokia doesn't need to kill it but to rewrite so that it may use parallel processing power of the dual cure cpu and should enable the hyperthreading tech.

i love symbian.. im a huge fan... im not a big fan of the layout that will so be updated to my phone. Also im hesitating on even updating my phone if it means i will loose joikuspot and have ugly icons like that.. u make the most amazing hardware... just up the juice in the battery and ur good to go.

[deleted post]android killer, u'd be a very good technical engineer but a poor salesman lol. If Nokia releases this, they'd prolly sell 1mill handsets in 1month, and then ppl get fed up, and then what next? these companies know the way to keep the consumers is always remove that dealbreaker (like 8mp without flash/autofocus, 4" screen with tft display, iOS 4 with no bluetooth transfer, WP 7 with no copy/paste etc etc). its their way of keeping the consumers coming back for more.
So its quites unfortunate for us consumers, but they also hav to be in bizness. Currently iOS is unbeatable, android (not fully there yet) but WP7 by next year will be unstoppable-just my own opinion

In the major Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat (www.hs.fi) there were, earlier this week, a short notice about some internal letters at Nokia. According to them Symbian will be supported to 2016. Purnima was referred to there too. That aside I think it is rather irrelevant, because how long will any manufacturer support anything? Things might change quickly. Today its mostly "Android Ahoy", but this can always change. For instance if cloud computing really gets going.
