It's about time Samsung investigates their quality control. After the Note 7 disaster now they have another major hickup. That's what happens when you want to reach the top without making 100% sure everything works the way it should.

Would rather choose G6, better video recording, fingerprint scanner position. Beautiful flat screen, sturdy build appearance. Less costly.

Lol.. Samsung at it again.. they just go for fancy stuff without really working on the functionality.. some people here are saying so what it's just a red tint.. people can live with it... No.. no they cannot.. it means that no photograph u take will show color accuracy on that display.. As a photographer who uses phone to check colors won't ever be able to trust the accuracy of this display before posting it online.. All ur movies n videos will look washed out with skin tones looking weird...
No tweaking software won't help much coz to balance red they will mess with the other colors.. Won't even b close to true RGB spectrum..
Samsung is only losing credibility with such patchy work on a phone priced so high specially in India that I can buy the best Dell laptop for that much.. Just to compete with the pricing of apple.. coz in US it costs 20% less than India.. if they charged that much here they wouldn't b considered premium I guess.. But y do u want such a faulty premium device.. Better wait for Xiaomi mi6 with much better specs at half the price n buy a nice laptop with the remaining money..

Usually the screen and other parts need calibration in the factory because every part is different. This time they did not do it correctly

Why there is only one photo and one video about this red tint and all the news are same in all websites so i thinks thats the problem is not true . I already have an iphone 6 and i pre orde an galaxy s8 so if the news is true there must be so many photos and videos also from korean people .

Pretty obvious, It is not a Software issue, if
it is, then all S8 should be in Red Tint, don't tell
me other S8 have different software than the other
one with a red tint. It is better to have it return/replace than waiting for a software patch, else another issue will pop up on your phone, maybe blue tint. LOL.

i got same redish display problem.. was soo annoying .. anyway what i have done its to go in to display settings - screen mode - adaptive display .. and select color balance.. on red i reduce it to zero .. green 75% and full blue.. ! now the display looks awesome.. i just love it.. ! it solve like 96% of the problem.. its still just a little bit redish on the edge of display in a very small line on edge but very hard visible. .. only if pay a lot of attention on that small edge zone you can see it a bit. so yes i guess it can be solved with an update easily

I got mine today and notice the red tint when switching the display to cimena, photo, or basic. The problem is you cannot change the color details (red, blue, green) unless its in Adaptive mode, which the red tint doesnt show up then. Its not bad, but i prefer the adaptive mode without the red tint. Looking forward to the update. Honestly, all they have to do is allow you to adjust the color details while in any mode.
