patent in-fragmentation is no good in digital-eletronics business, an well educated person like me can destroy is processor remotly, and ill

Please make a mini version of your flagship. Or something like that. I dont want to use my phone with two hands.
5,5'' is too big for me. And i'm sure for many people too.

RickGH, 23 Apr 2017Where would that innovation be when you put a case on it??Good question! Maybe phone case makers would have innovate and create cases for it

Maverick Sumit, 22 Apr 2017HTC need to build an USP, no one gonna buy HTC just because... moreas htc fan, I see the evolution of sense UI
from the birth of it on htc hero.

and now they want to make it stock again like htc magic!
I know some features need to go, but to strip their own apps like great htc music player, htc clock, htc weather animation, to name a few beautiful senses... is just plain stup!d move!

I don't want near stock plain boring android, or I would buy pixel now wouldn't I?
And samsung doesn't go bankrupt for keeping it's laggy touchwiz so why htc go that direction is beyond my understanding...

anyway I like htc 10 a lot! Great battery life, great camera, great audio, fast and smooth, and beautiful sense ui or what's left of it. Only downside is it's bit heavy because made of metal.

RickGH, 23 Apr 2017Where would that innovation be when you put a case on it??It depends how sturdy the case is, if you go and put a bulky ass case on it then obviously it won't work lol. But if you ARE buying this phone then you know you shouldn't be putting on such cases, after all who's planning on putting a bulky case on their S8?

AnonD-628531, 21 Apr 2017You people are REALLY annoying. This is probably THE least... moreHTC naming scheme is too confusing. Isnt U & 11 supposed to be of two different series. Why mix it into one? That is why most of us dont accept it. Its like mixing huawei P series and then Mate series into one, forming P Mate. Lol. Ever heard of Galaxy Note S series? Or Moto X G5? Or Xiaomi Redmi Mi? Or Oppo R F? Or LG V G6? You get the idea.

From One X, One (M7), One (M8), One M9, 10, & now U 11. Where the consistency? It was originally HTC One series since 2012. Suddenly drop the One M moniker in 2016 for HTC 10. Now turn into U 11? Wth man. I wouldn't guess they actually came from the same series. I dont even know who is whose succesor anymore.

                      AnonD-628531, 23 Apr 2017Nomenclature??? This isn't a science class bruh. Why can't ... moreA few points "bruh":

Firstly the term nomenclature refers to the devising and naming of things and is commonly used in branding terminology.

Secondly, you probably need to stop associating product naming with product quality & capibility. The article is about the phone's naming so why you keep bringing up this, that and the other is beyond me. Some have pointed out that HTC's naming of late has been inconsistent. That's not necessarily a bad thing as you pointed out but the real question is should it matter to you if it happens to bother others?

Lastly, do you know what brand equity, linage and pedigree are? I do, which is why can confidently say they indeed matter. Perhaps look up a case study on such matters before making blanket statements.

I am talking about USP to attract customers, existing loyal customers don't object about mediocre camera, boring UI etc. HTC's user base is nothing in front of Samsung or apple as they know how to attract customers because customer base is damn necessary for survival in market which is the main problem with HTC

Why can't you people just ACCEPT a name change, in what way is the name of a phone going to affect you??? WHY DOES THERE NEED TO BE "CONSISTENCY"? Who dafuq cares??? If it's a good phone, IT'S A GOOD PHONE. How many people do you think care about "brand equity, linage and pedigree"? Some companies like to express their phones more by actually giving them names and making them unique, making each device memorable; not just slapping a new number or letter on and calling it a day! (not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just bland...)
