AnonD-628531, 22 Apr 2017Why does it need to be consistent? It's not like you're goi... moreWhat are you on about? As far as cohesive and consistent nomenclature is concerned, HTC are a mess at it. Branding is an important part about building brand equity, linage and pedigree. If you obviously don't care for such, that's up to you but they do very much matter.

AnonD-523334, 22 Apr 2017You forgot (or maybe skipped) bro. .. .. HTC one M9 HTC ... moreYeah, just listed the core flagships - their various variants are another story in itself.

Moronic name. Remember when HTC came out with the first HTC One?.. That was a new start and they said they wanted to focus on just a few handset a year. Yeah i call BS.
Now they are circling in the mud with numerous devices tagged to their name and can´t find a direction or foothold.
Why this company haven´t gone into administration yet makes me wonder..

HTC are the handphone market AMD. always set the wrong marketing tactic. but now AMD are wake up after i brief them so well. HTC , value of money ,nice design , loud ringtone , nice camera , huge extra long life battery life , common fast charging cable , SD card , huge ROM , 8GB ram , this is all consumer want.
you have to work all this out by selling CNY 2599.00

Clearly, consistency is not HTC's forte.
I am 90% certain that the 2018 HTC flagship will not be called the HTC U 12 (provided HTC is still alive in 2018, with it's omission of the 3.5mm headphone jack and all).

Maverick Sumit, 22 Apr 2017HTC need to build an USP, no one gonna buy HTC just because... moreI buy HTC (five phones since 2009) for the following
                - durability
-stable performance (no lags or stuttering till you become bored from the phone)
                -Sound quality
                -good glass protection
                -ultra smooth UI

OdysseyTag, 22 Apr 2017HTC Flagships: 2009 - HTC Hero 2010 - HTC Desire 2011 ... moreWhy does it need to be consistent? It's not like you're going to go and buy ALL THEIR FLAGSHIPS at once is it??? You're only going to buy their current flagship (if you can afford it), as long as you know what their CURRENT flagship is called, then you're fine.

techlover1, 22 Apr 2017Well, i think it is more important for HTC to focus mainly ... moreThere is a huuuge difference between what HTC should do and what they actually do.

AnonD-147871, 22 Apr 2017Everybody in the world knows what "Galaxy S" is. Nobody kno... moreAbsolutely. Sometimes I feel the execs at HTC want the company to fail or something. It's quite peculiar what's happening over there to be honest. The U Ultra is an insult to consumers at that pricepoint.

U also stands for unemployed as that's the direction where most of the employees are headed.

AnonD-628531, 21 Apr 2017You people are REALLY annoying. This is probably THE least... moreI see what you're saying but I don't think you get where people are coming from, the S8, Note 7, G6, Moto G5 etc etc have all had their numbers seen 1 through to their current. Throwing a random U in the title when it has been M for the past few generations makes no sense as a naming convention. It should have been the HTC U or the HTC 11... then they could have gone for U2 (cringe) U3,4 etc etc.

Anyone know how the pressure functions of this phone is going to work with a case... you know that thing that 95% of everyone that ever buys a phone these days uses? This whole phone feels like HTC have no idea what is going on in the current market and have made something because they can, not because it's going to make anyone's life easier... Hopefully it's a great phone without the need of this gimmick, good camera, good battery, secure, nice looking screen, fast updates and decent performance, that's all I want HTC... not this.

Everybody in the world knows what "Galaxy S" is. Nobody knows what "Desire HD", "Sensation", "One X", "One", "One M8", "One M9", "10", "U 11" are. You can't make a strong brand if you change it's name almost every ear. You don't need to be a marketing expert to realize that
