The real sign of a good camera is the lens. Not how many pixels the camera can capture. 23MP is often worse than a nice 12MP with a sexy lens.

Well, we all know the classic green sky of the Sony cameras...that's why I sold my RX100 and NEX-5n. You would think that Sony is run by extraterrestrials having different vision compared to humans.
Seriously, can't Sony people see that their color rendering has nothing to do with reality ? The iPhone 7 Plus color rendering is light years ahead.

iPhone is the winner. More natural looking photos. Sony & Samesuck Pics looking cartoonish. And Crapdroid is a Joke.

Xperia xz premium is the clear winner in this comparison. I really don't get the hate on sony phone by some. Just take a good hard long look at that sea shell shots for example. The level of detail on sony phone is simply outstanding compared to the iphone. Seriously is there some top level conspiracy to drag sony's efforts in mobile space to the mud. This should be looked into.

Iphone shot pale in comparison. Its like they were edited with retro filter. Sony brings realistic colors and high resolution also. +1

I'm sorry (actually I'm not) but are most of you looking at different pictures to me? The Sony is outputting far better pictures across the board to the iPhone, here.
Sure, the processing isn't as sharp and that adds a little dappling to some edges but there's no doubt that its pulling in more detail (please learn to correct for the differing lens and fov). The contrast and detail in the interior shot is much better too.

I like iPhone's shots more in the samples because they are more real. You don't normally see cartoonish and highly-saturated colors in your normal eyesight. That's the reason why I don't like the camera of Samsung, and in this case, also Sony's.

No way fella.. . detail, color reproduction and range, less artefacting, exposure.... XZ Prem better all the way here.
Only some more noise in that indoor shot, but better dynamics, detail and exposure control.
