HTC posts 9% revenue decline in April

The company’s consolidated revenue was NT$4,71B ($155M), compared to NT$5,19B ($171M)in March .

Bring back M7 and M8 with newest camera and processor and add fingerprint. Thats the way!

    How many mistakes HTC has to make to understand that if you have 2 about the same phones with slightly different specs it doesnt make any difference.

    Phones need to be different size to cover different customer groups. HTC nailed it with M7 but from there on they kind of ran out of ideas. If no ideas just keep what is good and pack it with latest tehc.

    I would bet my head to modernised M7. Max. 4,7 Inch, fingerprint, stereo speakers and latest processor would be more than enough. Is it hard to see what Apple is doing - they sell the same phone since day one with just improving it.

      Not a surprise, even my "highly praised" M8 was a total rip-off after all. :D The phone just didn't have what it should've had for the astronomically high asking price, the flawless audio chip was certainly great for headphone-usage - but the rest of the phone wasn't for me.

            Seriously? You even had to insult other brands just to make HTC look any better than them?
            Samsung has at least tried to simplify their OS (even though somewhat still crappy, but almost there). Sony has the most stable Android software so it's crappy? Ridiculous. Apple, I have nothing to say, but their "courage" is trash, so I'll agree on that. I never heard about the G6 boot looping, or at least you can provide a liable evidence to turn that out.

            And who said everybody hates HTC? These things happens to every OEM - Samsung, Apple, LG, Sony, Huawei, Oppo, Asus, even Nokia, etc. Criticism will never go away because of individuals' flaws, but nobody said everyone's happy of HTC dying, because other than they never will, everyone loves many successful brands, and it's gonna be sad for HTC to leave for another potential innovator will be taken away, and the world of technology will step up slower, and worse, will not at all.

              I used to respect htc for their innovation even they are declining.. But now, with generic design, no headphone jack, high priced, thick bezel screen, glass back plate, down grade boom sound, up to par spec only on flagship...
              With all these design choice, its like they just wanna die... Fast...

                  If only HTC knows how to listens to its customers and price its phones reasonably. Removing headphone jack?!
                  My last wish from HTC is they make an updated m7, maybe they can place the extra snapdragon 821 from U Ultradumb.
                  If HTC flops with this U 11 I'am switching to Pixel.

                        It was already a very critical position of HTC last year.
                        The flagship HTC 10 somehow managed to keep them fighting, but not pulling them back to the game.
                        Now they released this mediocre HTC U, which gave bad reputation to HTC, just like what the One A9 did to them - actually even worse.
                        If U 11 will be a better successor, then it might save them, but then, I'm not expecting them to go back as a big player of smartphones soon

                          HTC plays weekly "price yo-yo" while its offerings are not very competitive. Hence, the revenue numbers are no surprise.
