Sony Xperia Touch is a projector that can turn any surface into an Android interface with full touch functionality. It's almost like the ultimate high-tech toy sent from the future.

    By that way, I should also say that the S8 twins, and every other flagships that cost above $500 are all overpriced when there's the Mi 6 that will do the same thing that those phones are capable of doing, for half the price.

    And I don't know how am I being close-minded when I'm relating every technological devices to each other, seeking what they were when they were new, and trying to point out why they aren't overpriced, that is with such practical reasons.
    Then I guess you're the open-minded one by judging the device without even having an experience to it yet. I also don't, but it's not to say that it is overpriced only because it costs a lot of pennies. With that, my car is also overpriced when it costs $5000 just because the price is high.

              There is no trying hard or refining in this. That's the point. It's just cheap crap slapped together without much of anything done and presented as something so innovative and fantastically over priced.

              And no where in my comments did I ever talk shown on the concept or what the tech is doing.
              You're the one being completely close minded to the reality of the situation and what I'm saying.

              I wouldn't be going this strong if it wasn't worth it. This is significantly lazy and over priced in so many ways and to mass amounts. Plain and simple facts and reality

                Each new technology developed will always have its own flaws, but despite those, at least the manufacturers are doing their best at trying to improve it to its finest, and that's what most close-minded "tech people" like you fail to realize.

                I'm pretty sure you also said the same thing when the first iPhone came out, but I can be 100% sure that you are using the improved version of the technology you used to hate a decade ago.
                Like I've said, this isn't the final version of this tech, and it surely will get better and better each time it gets developed. It just needs time, people's patience, and manufacturers' hardwork. If you don't like new innovations to enter the world of technology, then there's no point using one at all.

And it wasn't even the same function at all if it doesn't do the same thing.

                      This projector is a step above any other typical projectors out. It's a smart projector, which is a device that can do everything that you can do with a typical smartphone or tablet but on another way.
                      Remember when smartphones used to cost $1000? Now we can find those even for $50.
                      And it takes time for improvements, because this version will not be the last one. It always will have a successor no matter what.

                        And yup. Nothing else like the Lenovo phone did that. That's why I just mentioned it for having the same function is all........

                        And to obviously don't have a clue about the tech used it in it.
                        Especially projectors and their types, costs, and how long they have been around.

                        And for its projector type, brightness, chipset, cost, and even its size the battery life is atrocious.

                          Yes...even $800 would make good profit. But they want more than double that.
                          Most people either won't be able to afford it or will just be smart enough to find a better option.
                          Sony made a huge mistake charging so much.
                          Unless they cut costs very soon it probably won't be pretty. Especially if they decide since it flopped they give up.

                          If they stick to it and make a much much much much better and dramatically cheaper second model then they will be ok. Otherwise it will just flop.
                          Sorry Sony can't brainwash people like Apple. Even they would only get it to sell so much for so long.

                                  This thing is new, and it has a standalone touch screen which your so-called "Lenovo prototype" probably doesn't have.
                                  And it works absolutely perfect on a plain flat surface - I doubt yours can do that.

                                  It's not yet bright because it's still in development and experiment, 'cause making it brighter will surely make its battery die out faster.
                                  That $400 projector you just mentioned will unlikely be supported with Android upgrades and neither will be able to run future apps like this thing would.

                                    Color accuracy doesn't depend on whether it's LCD or oled or whatever.
                                    It depends on how well calibrated it is. As long as the tech can have a proper white point and those colors are within the range of it.

                                        This is more overpriced than those things. It's insanely over priced and under teched.
                                        Those types of protectors except for maybe the close distance aspect exist for maybe like $100.

                                        They didn't mention the lumens but it's probably not more than 100......
                                        You can get a native resolution 1080p projector that has 4500 lumens for $400.
                                        It can only play a movie for an hour of its battery. Are you kidding me?????
                                        The chipset is not the greatest or most efficient. It's ok for mid range priced devices but not for anything that even costs $800 let alone $1700. And that's more than double! Especially for heat and efficiency.

                                        And it's just between the infrared and maybe cameras picking up gestures. It's not even the first thing like this and Lenovo has a whole phone though still in proto type. They would never be dumb enough to charge this much for it. And I bet it can last at least 2-4 hours depending on usage.
                                        And it's still at least 50 lumens on an led projector.
