Stop spreading BS, this isn't cheating at all. If you want to test how fast the Ferrari is, use full acceleration. GB and other apps are the ones that should be fixed.

Cheating is ok, only if you are Oneplus. If this was Samsung the bashing would go way beyond this. Hahaha. I have to say, at this point XZP seems like a better choice than Oneplus 5. I dont want to own a phone from cheating company that make your phone heats up to 50° C!

Anonymous, 21 Jun 2017Xperia is a 4GB phone. All 4GB phones end up reloading apps... moreI'm living in denial?
Thanks for saying that you are really ignorant.
OnePlus 3T with 6GB RAM still reloads apps, while the iPhone 7 Plus easily manages apps in the background far better than the Android that has twice its RAM capacity.
Based on tests, without Smart Cleaner turned on, the XZ Premium can easily keep all of the apps running without anything reloading.
But basically, your end statement just got easily broke with my first statement.
Before calling someone being in denial, make sure that you are wideopen-minded and knows how multitasking works, instead of basing everything on what the manufacturer tells you.
If you believe the OP5 will be the fastest Android phone of 2017, then I'm not gonna stop you, but if ever you turn out wrong, you don't have to make nonsense excuses to OnePlus because I won't blame you for believing something wrong either.
Mark my words, the XZ Premium would blow the OP5 away. I surely doubt that it can even beat the U 11, which in itself, also loses to the XZ Premium.

If it really disables thermal throttling then someone should run a really long benchmark on it to "test its safety", might set something on fire...

This means that one phone may get warmer than the other, which in turn will dictate the allowed clocks for the chipset and ultimately the performance. This cheat involves exactly this: it "cheats" on the thermal envelope, making the processor run faster than it should.

LG G6 or everyone's favorite s7 edge is the much better choice. Only alien's need 8gb ram in a smartphone.

In terms of what for they were cheating?
I much prefer call it with optimization, OnePlus shown to us what a 835 capable of..
Or overall we can say this a OC version of a 835, light PC stuff.

Like another guy said in a previous post: I'd rather have a 2-3 year old Sony or Sammy than a brand new Chinese replika..
Also. OnePlus never met my needs: it does not have SD card slot and no waterproofing.
Im from Europe and let me tell you this: I never saw one person with a OnePlus phone. Most of their phones are sold in India and China where quality is something sci-fi.

If it's true then, the One Plus 5 is not just a Flagship Killer but it's also a Flagship Cheater.
Seriously, no offense to the Loyal One Plus fans. One Plus 5 is still one of the most innovative smartphone for me, though.

It's not as if it matters. It uses the same SD 835 that everyone else is using. So we already know the score(s). Ever since Qualcomm became the In tel of androids things wen to completely boring and predictable.
You cannot even cheat properly because nobody would believe you.
On top of that benchmarks measure peak performance which is mostly irrelevant to modern phones...
The whole story is a complete train wreck.
BTW I have no doubt that OP5 would be the fastest android of 2017 , but like it happened in 2016 that would be so regardless of the bench scores (that actually affect very little).

Explains why the people who trusts benchmarks as the main deciding factor for a device's performance are st*p*d.
Xperia XZ Premium scored 144K on GSMArena test, yet we know how it wrecks the 3T's speed despite the differences in numbers.
Galaxy S8/S8+ scored above 170K yet Erica Griffin just showed us how these two lag when navigating the horrible UI, let alone the Exynos owners who also confirmed the same exact problem that isn't as bad as the SnapDragon variants.
And I'm still sure that regardless of less numbers, the iPhone 7/7+ are still gonna blow away any new 2017 Android flagships in RAW performance ALONE (mind the display, battery, etc.)
