And mobiles with the new Snapdragon processors will be powered from a russian mobile army electrical station, wich has a fuel consumption 100l gas/hour and weghts 2000 kg...no seriously it really is impressive if i recall on those good old times when i had a Pentium II wich had a 300 MHz frequency....and now my phone is more powerful than that block...but the question is...do we really need it ???

even with huge processing power mobile phone cant compete with device targeted primary for gaming like ngp and 3ds,they have game with deep gameplay

great work by snapdragon! now i'll wair for win 8 to be released and then buy a tablet with one of the quad-core processors, this would give u both fast performance and widest-range of apps, this is how 2012 tablets world should look: total pc experience!

Where the world is going???? MAy I see a 10 GHz Processor, 10GB RAM+ROM, 16000*9000 pixel screen, 11.1 channel dolby surround sound, 25 MP camera in coming years??
My God, I seriously feel that my old 6300 worked as cellphone much better than all these upcoming monsters....

These CPUs are impressive, and will guarantee some insane features in the near future, probably late next year. But for the most part it only solves half the problem for speed and efficiency which needs to be addressed equally by the software developers of mobile OS's. I reckon we will see some awesome features like 3D screens and video recording in full HD, all packed into a 8-9mm box only to have it criticised for its lag because the software couldn't handle it effectively. This already happens today with many of the top-tier phones being released. On a slightly different note, mid-range phones are more ignored by the critics, for many reasons, but one of them being the features have been tried and tested. The point though is the software used is experienced and developed enough to deal with it. Mid-range phones are more efficient, just as feature packed but certainly cheaper than the high-end phones a year and a half ago.

Camera megapixels evolve too quick... morethat's because the process involve are different... one of the reason IC evolve so quickly is because of the fabrication process which can make smaller and smaller scale transistors... but batteries is all about chemical reaction... it's harder to improve...

OMG ... QuadCore 2.5GHz on an phone/tablet ... That is insane without a battery of at least 4000mAh ... The downside except the battery will be that when the actual products will hit the market (iPhone 5-6-7, Samsung Galaxy S 3-4-5, Desire SSSSS), they will probably anounce new procesort (3-5GHz, at least QuadCore)

these improvements make me happy not only because i'm excited about upcoming generation high end smartphones but mainly because im a midrange and higher-midrange buyer so this wil help most 1Ghz processors to shift in my range.....! :P

Mobile processor can adapt faster than Intel processor which takes years..
Now a small processor can do task like in a normal processor did..
