AnonD-7957, 07 May 2011I had used an LG KS660 (I think that was the model no.), it... moreYeah, too bad that LG rushed the 2x, it would have been a killer..

          My gripes with 2x:
          1) 1080p video recording is lousy, and playback is lousier XP
          2) Stuck on froyo -- froyo is OK for mid-range cheapies, but not flagships
          3) Only 512 Ram -- What kind of games are you supposed to play with 512 mb RAM?? Tic Tac Toe?? LOL
          4) The design is sooo F*%cking UGLY, it looks like a $30 Nokia budget phone (though it costs 20 times more).
          5) The icons are corny, like they were ripped off from Sesame Street.
          6) Poor audio and one of the worst in call quality (next to iphone).
          7) The IPS-LCD screen is so-so, despite the hype.
          8) The shape of the device is funny -- it looks "pregnant" at the back, with that protruding camera. I guess everybody in LG is blind.

          The PROs:
          1) It is Cheap (and it shows)
          2) The hardware is impressive -- Nvidia Tegra, dual-core, 8mp camera
          3) It has complete accessories -- earbuds, HDMI cable, etc.

What MORE can you expect from a company that makes spare parts for the rest of the world?? I guess I have to be BLIND and short on cash, to opt for an LG 2X. This phone is a SORE EYE, but if you can overlook that, its a pretty decent buy..

Bet your bottom dollar Apple fanboys will say Apple came up with the dual core first followed by Steve Jobs claiming the exact same thing, Then he'll claim the reason why it wasn't registering as dual core was that it was being held wrongly or some other excuse.

AnonD-367, 07 May 2011AND WHAT ABOUT NOKIA N8 its all about nokia come late bu... moreWhat the...? Me coming back to Nokia? NEVER! I would rather get an iPhone rather than have another Nokia. They lost me a long time ago and they will never regain my trust. I'll get myself a Galaxy S II or an Optimus 3D when I get completely done paying off my mortgage next month. I know what you're thinking. No, I'm not an old foggy. I'm not even 30 yet. XD

I had few lg mobile, and I can proudly say they are good phone. On the other-hand their battery life is shit.
Hardly hold charge for even a day on single processor, now with dual core..........(double the processing speed, with double the power consumption) I guess people buying should consider this factor........

Nokia is making only mobile, LG is electronics Giant. LG is the brand launching full touch screen PRADA and Viewty Way before Nokia's touch screen phone.

When i went to service center for the problem of autometic power shut down at the first day of new phone use from starhub , i found 3 users of LG Optimus 2X complining about it (same power shut down problem or software error problem).
Becareful ,LG has no exchange program for new one even perblem occur is 1st day of your purchace.

LG Dual processor (2times 750Mhz) means nothing to 1core 1Ghz in Arc... That's my opinion... Because I think dual-core in phone can't be so strong to do things "much better" ...IT's just a commercial.. I think it's like 900Mhz-950Mhz processor... NOT the 1,5Ghz one ....BTW: I've just bought ARC. Sony Ericsson you are KING. :D

So do not get me wrong. More power to LG for this, but I think back when Samsung came out with the Omnia HD being the first phone capable of HD recording and playback it was a much bigger stand point in the mobile world. Even with that, I could not find that this kind of record was given to them for that.

[deleted post]Please don't drag the Symbian topic any further. It has next to no relevance with the news. My question on Optimus 2x as a gaming phone got completely overshadowed as a result.

It is meant to be slow yet resource efficient. Even I was a Symbian user before. But now it's just like a living undead and I've came in terms with this fact.
