From then on everything has been hit and miss for them. They invest way more on research and development and it still takes them 2 years to make a good touch based web browser.

And about your nickname, you can either have "nokia" or "4". They don't like each other. :-) (yes, even I can use smilies)

Probably the worst software in a phone I've seen. It couldn't even open the messages properly.

Samsung is a copycat, but it's also the maker of arguably the most advance tech in smartphones. Their execution of the copied elements is what makes them stand apart.

Why would HTC be accused of copying LG is beyond me.

Are you crazy or what! You actually want "Super Clear LCD" (that's what Sammy calls it) over sAMOLED+? And here I'm praying day n night for sAMOLED+ on i9103. What's the reason for such a preference? Durability? My phones won't last that long anyway, because of intense overclocking.

To get this back on Optimus 2x, what do you think is a better smartphone for a gamer who'd also do other stuff with it, Optimus 2x or Xperia Play? 2x has a dual-core processor and a good enough GPU and also access to the Tegra Zone; which, unlike samsung's gaming hub, actually has some exclusive software (although most are just revamped editions of regular android games). That should give it some edge over HTC Sensation and SGS2. Although, this becomes invalid if SGS2 gets launched with Tegra2 in my country (bigger, better screen and more RAM). BTW Atrix's higher resolution makes it a bit slower.

But Play still has the gaming pad (along with playstation support, albeit near non-existent). But 2x is more powerful and seems easier to handle. IDK.

Hey, everyone. Calm down already! The discussion was about Optimus 2x, not Nokia vs all others. Granted, it was I who mentioned it's name here first, but to drag it to this extent is unacceptable.

BTW if anyone's thinking I'm a Nokia fanboy, there completely wrong. Hell, I'm more of a droid fanboy than anything else. And no, I was not comparing N95 with Optimus 2x.

I had ditched Nokia like 2 years ago. N95 was a great device in its time. But Nokia had lost momentum when the touchscreen revolution began. It's still playing catch-up, but others like Samsung are way ahead. Everyone has to accept this fact.

Popularity is one thing, technical advancement is another. For the average geek like me, the latter holds more importance.

Right now, Nokia is replacing their previous board members with newer ones. Also, they are focusing on cheaper S^3 phones as well as WP7 phones. They are struggling polishing MeeGO OS as they are only planning on releasing 1 MeeGO model this year. Think about it and don't be blind by being a fanboy.

remember nokia is no.1 and they are not sleeping, what ever nokia is doing from last years or so but they r sure no one others make let nokia down from 1.no spot.

They might be first. But in their strides to be first they have cut too many corners andvcrrsted a dual core phone that's not really that fast..... or stable

If I had a choice I would rather want my Desire back or get the Desire with a bit more memory.

I would hardly call that a success as the 5800 only sold over 8 million units in a period of 19 months. The 5800 XpressMusic was released on April 27, 2008 and it sold over 8 million units by November 2009. It took Nokia 19 months to sell that much while the Samsung Galaxy S I9000 was released in June 2010 and sold 10 million units by January 2011 and Apple sold 18 million iPhones last quarter alone. That's 18 million iPhones in just 3 months.

because when all leading brand have touch screen phone in their bag then nokia is the last one to introduce touch screen phones and when it launch touch phones it makes history with nokia 5800 in selling and it is loved and success in all over the world.

                                and in other example

when samsung(pixon 12) and sony ericsson(satio) have 12mp Xenon flash camera phones in thier bag then again nokia in last one to introduce camera phone and rest all know that phone make the history in attention to all over the world and make success it was one and only NOKIA N8.

SO NOKIA IS LAST SURE BUT IT HAS SOMETHING SPECIAL ALLWAYS ;O

NOKIA THE NO.1 MOBILE MANUFACTURE COMPANY.
