Anonymous, 04 Aug 2017Yes, you can use bigger battery, but only with phones that ... moreTechnically sealed leaves a tiny amount to more room for higher built in capacity. Of course it's nothing compared to an extended capacity battery

6 inch display is nice but why it isn't a 4k swift panel? looks like they lack of high-tech.

AnonD-43988, 03 Aug 2017Curved screen.... Not a fan.... My biggest concern is th... moreYes, you can use bigger battery, but only with phones that have removable battery. For example in V20, you can replace the battery to a 3x bigger 10 000mAh extended battery (ZeroLemon). You don't have this option with non-removable battery phones.

AnonD-43988, 03 Aug 2017Agreed with your points about cycles... My phone is now 2.5... moreIn my g4 I replaced accu second time - one accu works not longer than 1 year. Why? Because lg traditionally ban in power consumption and you need to charge your phone twice a day. Or, maybe, lg accumulators are bad too.

oh come on !!
don't lose your signature V features that we all love so much, don't be a norm !!
no secondary display we can live with it (barely) but to even remove the easy access removable battery features is like telling us you don't want business and don't want us to buy your phone. LG wake up !!

The big news is LG move the logo to the back panel. I hate that awkward logo. They should choose the logo or the letter not both combined..

Anonymous, 03 Aug 2017Nope, as long as consummers keep buying low autonomy phones... moreAgreed with your points about cycles... My phone is now 2.5 yrs old... and now gives 25-30% less backup than what it used to when it was new... These newer flagships will get to that stage well before 2 yrs... But there is still a solution, you can get the battery replaced at the service centre and then use it comfortably for another 1-1.5 yrs if you wish to.
I, however, was arguing a slightly different point.... Phones should have batteries such that if you start the day with say, 85-90% battery... You shouldn't have to bother about the battery at all... There should be some juice left when u hit the bed at night, however heavy use you do during the day. This translates to roughly 12 hrs of SOT frm 100% to 0%... Now if a phone can provide such endurance with a sealed battery, well and good... It is even better than popping batteries in and out all the time... Quick charge is good and all, but it still requires you to carry your charger and/or looking for a charging point if u r travelling etc...
And, to get back to your point, its 500 cycles will also last well over 2 yrs.. So battery probably won't be the first component to die out...
There are some phones which provide such endurance.. But most of them are in midrange... Lenovo P2 is a good example... But there are very few such flagships... Most give 7-9 hrs SOT.... which is enough for most days... But it won't provide the total peace of mind that i want.

Anonymous, 03 Aug 2017There is nothing good with having 3.5mm jack. Can't choose ... moreReally?
The 2014 Z3 Compact is IP68 with its jack.
Iphone 7 and u11 are IP67, lower certification without the jack.
Wireless audio is not on pair with wired.
There are losses.
You can decrease loss like Sony's LDAC but it only works with Sony's headphones..
