That's how I managed to crack my phone yesterday. Seriosly so many people want thin phones???? When I was using a 10mm phone it was so stable and never had a tendency to slip out of my hands.
And every company started to make thin phones. (Below 8-8.5mm) AND made out of glass.

So S7 edge was the last to offer 3600 mAh? Every Samsung flagship after it offered less capacity.

The irony is I plan on selling my S7 edge, iPhone SE, and Note 3 this week. Maybe my HTC One M7 and Microsoft Lumia 640 as well. Doubt anyone would want my Xiaomi. I finally made the decision to jump ship from T-Mobile which is why I finally made the decision to sell the S7e. T-Mo offers the best value but coverage is spotty and data is slow even if not throttled.

I'm keeping all three LGs (G3 Beat, G5, V20) for removable battery and each one as media players. Only thing I ever liked from my S7 edge is Samsung Pay and watching porn on it. But it is much faster to just bring and swipe my ATM card because I need to bring it anyway along with my driver's license and courier credit cards.

Google Pixel will be the only phone since it will be the only one that can run on the Verizon network. The Sprint G5 which cannot recognize a sim even though it is unlocked is now attached to my Google Voice #. I guess the last great Note was the Note 4. Hold onto it and the S5 like LG fans should hold onto G5 and V20 as the last of their kind to offer both removable battery and IR blaster.

Really a shame where the Note series is headed to. By Note9, the headphone jack will be gone to follow more trends. Then nomore microSD card slot (again) like in the Note5. 2014 was the last great year for true Samsung loyalists. They abandoned that group ever since like LG ditched that same demographic starting this year with the G6. As long as it looks cool, it sells.

Removable battery is important for the long run but the irony is my 5" Google Pixel without any key features and only 32gb storage is probably my favorite phone of all-time over my G5 and V20. I can always go to the cell phone repair shop and get the battery replaced. It is easy to open up. I guess my #1 priority is size, hand-in feel, and smooth software experience. The rest like microSD slot don't matter anymore considering I get unlimited cloud storage.

Smooth software experience is the name of the game but Samsung never delivers it since they insist with their own bloat and ecosystem. Hard enough to eliminate the carrier bloat too unless rooted. Pixel user for life. Headphone or not, it's the best Android experience the way Google intended it to be.

Anonymous, 06 Aug 2017Making a bad thing worse *is* a cause for a fuss. S8+ ma... moreThe masses just do not want to know or understand why even having the most battery capacity would be the best. They just believe in fast charging and carrying powerbanks are normal. Not with the current battery tech that has not changed over the last 20 years. They degrade weather in use or not.

Having a smaller capacity means charging more. The more you charge, the more heat generated that adds to the stress of the battery. The more heat, the faster it contributes to degradation. The more number of charging means SPEEDING UP the LIMITED NUMBER of charging cycles that is around 300 to 500 full charging cycles. We're looking at 18 months till it only holds 50 to 60% of its original capacity usage time per charge. It's all designed so that by the 24th month, people fill out a next contract instead of having to send it for a battery change.

And this particular guy is very happy carrying around a bulky 20,000 mAh powerbank to carry and plug his 7mm thin phone daily.

S8+ managed average battery by killing background apps. Imagine how even worse the experience would be on the supposed pro phone of the company (that used to be filled to the brim w feature the lastest and greatest in just about anything).

Gods, if I have seen a rapid devaluation of a high profile series, I have seen none as rapid and catastrocpic as the Note's series.

AnonD-100398, 06 Aug 2017So much fuss over 200mah less battery!! com on guys I know ... moreAnother one who seem to deny the fact that Note8 has a bigger screen = bigger area. Means that it will perform lower than the S8+ which has 200 mAh more battery. S8 Active has 4000 mAh.

Bigger battery means less times to charge. 3000 mAh+ just don't cut it for high performing Android devices with bigger screens, more speedier CPU/GPU, more apps and increased internet usage.

And the scape goat is to carry bulky powerbank? Poor excuse. Honestly, 5000 mAh should be the minimum with the amount of usage without having to plug in.

I have the S8 with mAh 3000 and battery stays for 1 and half day with light use, heavy use max full day and that's an excellent battery performance. All you need to disable some Samsung bloatware, shut background sync if you are not using it.

Better to have less battery than a slow phone. Samsung once again made the wrong deal. S8 is slower (in practice) than S7 ... it reloads way too many background apps.
