I bought my SGS phone in the philippines last 2months ago..its a 8gb and froyo 2.2 version.And now im here in venice,Italy my phone network is Vodafone but im using simcard from philippines by international roaming...I update my phone from froyo to gingerbread this morning only 30mins downloading successfully..now its perfectly gingerbread..tnx samsung...

Well Vodafone Users are still waiting for the update to arrive in spain. My Galaxy S is still waiting for it to come from Kies... I will wait another week or two. After that will install any Gingerbread version for my phone.

Samsung has finally released gingerbread update in india today. The new version would of JP6 and is available via kies.. :-). So no waiting anymore India...charge up your phones and upgrade to 2.3

fed up connecting every night to be told unable to update! samsung are useless! really putting me off getting another, every other manufacturer manages to get it right apart from samsung! customer support is dire!
