E7 with Android 2.3 and N8 with Android 2.3, and both with 1 GHz cpu and 512 mb ram would be real winners on the market. I want a Nokia-phone with Android, but I will never again buy any phone with Symbian or any OS from Microsoft!

Pls. improve your hardware and and your OS, or you will loose further. Still 680Mhz.. and next year Dual core??? Too late.. It would have been more successful if maemo or meego was used and improved.(They had potential). Symbian Anna is still not very impressive or a record breaking OS...

The current range in the market is not drawing ANY attention at all and I believe strongly that the Finns have finally woken up. It is really bleeding and the WM devices are its only hope; hopefully. One can only view their fall as to being to arrogant in the past.

Its surprisng to see so many posts whnver there is something about Nokia, which shows there is a great fan following for Nokia and obviously brand is strong.
Guys in all there are 8 platforms symbian/Android/ios/BBos/java/Bada/WP7/Meego which of these will survive is only time will tell.
I am sure Nokia with its great hardware capablites will emerge as winner along with Iohone. android is surviving on base of Media hype but consumers will have final say.

[deleted post]lol I never said I will buy a Nokia phone (not even if they sell a Nokia smartphone for $1). its true Nokia has a good build quality(outside). But what is the use of it if inside is useless (stone age HW + SW)??? Its like a Ferrari with 1500 CC in-line 4 engine inside. lol "BUILD QUALITY" thats all Nokia can talk about today. at least those plastic craps come with high-end HW + better OS with some nice UIs. So which one is more useful?

                        many here nailed the coffin.

i used to love Nokia, heck, i still dont mind them. I bought my first touchscreen phone, which was the nokia 5800, early release. Meh, as an inexperienced user, i found the phone not to be too bad.

Anyways... I moved on to symbian and realised, WOAH! This is like...

lets be serious guys, symbian software is just over, its dead. The interface, even the new interfaces, it is garbage once you try the other phones..

I cant imagine myself using a noke phone anymore :-/

Nobody is beggi... moreIf you are using desktop OS dominance as your reasoning for Nokia going to WP7 you're dead wrong. Nokia's reasoning for going to WP7 because Google simply flat out denied Nokia's request. Nokia's first choice was definitely Google's Android. They told Nokia to pound sand, then Nokia went to Microsoft. Microsoft has had a horrible track record in the mobile OS department, so how is that "future proofing" themselves by aligning with a company that basically failed in the Mobile OS industry? Windows Mobile 6 was a big let down, even funnier is the fact that Windows Mobile 6 still has a larger market share than WP7.

But what the hell MS did to WP7? I got an Omnia 7 with pretty decent HW but the OS is so boring and in primary level. I dont think anybody got or will get any profit from WP7.x. look at the market share of the WP. btw I hope WP8 will come up with some good stuff like nice UI and all the features just like in WM 6.5. But yet Im gonna get new Omnia 8 or Galaxy W or HD 8. But not low-end outdated HW like Nokia.lol..

[deleted post]That was a very childish and silly comment. Nobody is begging for wp.

If you had any deductive sense at allyou would realize that nokia s switch to wp was not as result of them deeming symbian uncompetitive. They are simply future proofing the company. By tnt time windows phone 8 and windows 8 are out you would get some perspective. The aim here is to capitalise on the market dominance of pc windows to secure and installed user base. People who always come back. Your choice of pc os, gaving console, mp3 player and others affect your choice in mobile phone. Microsoft would make all versions of their software flow into each other do much so if you get one, tools be tempted to get all others.
